Judge gives green light to California's sanctuary laws
The Washington Times ^ | July 5, 2018 | Stephen Dinan

A federal judge upheld most of California’s new sanctuary laws Thursday, but did rule the state went too far when it ordered businesses not to grant access to the Border Patrol or deportation officers.

Judge John A. Mendez, a Bush appointee to the court, said the state does not have to turn over illegal immigrants and can refuse to cooperate with federal agents, as long as it still allows local police to share information.

And he ruled that California has the right to perform inspections on any facility that holds illegal immigrants in the state.

A Bush appointed federal 9th district court judge that doesn't want to get involved in politics! Yeah, right.

Too bad judge Mendez won't enforce federal law.

A judge is just a lawyer with too much power.

Impose a illegal immigrant tariff on all countries that send illegal immigrants to the USA.

Bush had lost control of the Senate in 2006

And he managed to do that in spite of a booming economy.

Unemployment sinks to 5-year low (Nov. 2006)

The article doesn’t mention anything about an appeal to the SCOTUS. Surely after their slapdown of Arizona’s law in 2012 they would have to knock down California’s..

Put federal roadblocks around Cali and require a passport for travel outside travel. Act third-world, be treated third-world.

...

States don’t have to help enforce federal law. It’s always been that way because of state’s rights.

Congress is their Daddy, and they should be calling these recalcitrant judges up one by one to question them on the US Constitution, and impeach all of them for their Partisan actions.

Won't do any good until there are 9 justices on the court. A 4-4 SC verdict makes the lower court ruling the law of the land.

“A Bush appointed federal 9th district court judge that doesn’t want to get involved in politics!....”

Hmmmm seems to me I learned somewhere the Fed had the responsibility for the borders, not the States.

Seems to me if this judge, this Federal judge wasn’t into the politics of it all he’d be interested in upholding the Federal law, not parsing it to favor a political result.

Another Bushie liar me thinks.

Communists left wins again and the simple minded weak Republicans are to ignorant to call out California. Communists federal judges are making law and they rule America. Why? Weak Republicans and a President that lets them get away with it.
