Judge gives green light to California's sanctuary laws
The Washington Times ^ | July 5, 2018 | Stephen Dinan

A federal judge upheld most of California’s new sanctuary laws Thursday, but did rule the state went too far when it ordered businesses not to grant access to the Border Patrol or deportation officers.

Judge John A. Mendez, a Bush appointee to the court, said the state does not have to turn over illegal immigrants and can refuse to cooperate with federal agents, as long as it still allows local police to share information.

And he ruled that California has the right to perform inspections on any facility that holds illegal immigrants in the state.

Pull every last dime of federal funding from California.
Remove all federal support, in any form, from the renegade state.

Then declare Martial Law in California, arrest the governor and the entirety of the state legislature, and send in the military.

BTW, tell this federal “judge” to go piss up a rope.

State Law cannot override Federal Immigration Enforcement, which constitutionally is the exclusive jurisdiction of the Federal Government.

Kalifornia needs to have its collectivist balls ripped out by the root.

yeah..

Don’t accept a California driver’s license as valid ID in the rest of the nation. (all illegals can get one in California)

Demand a passport or birth certificate for ID.

“Impose a illegal immigrant tariff on all countries that send illegal immigrants to the USA.”
**************
Could Mexico be sued for the cost of housing, education, etc. that we incurred for illegal immigrants who were allowed free transit to our border?

Could we also sue Mexico for the cost of housing, education, etc. for all illegal Mexicans now in our country?

There is a “then/now” video on youtube showing various locations in Los Angeles used in the filming of the original Terminator movie. Every “now” shot looks like Mexico.

From what I read of the decision, it is correct.

States cannot be forced to use their resources to enforce federal law.

The federal government can put requirements on any funds it gives to the state. If the state accepts the funds it has to accept the requirements.

“States don’t have to help enforce federal law.”

Unless it’s a gun law they like.

That doesn’t make any rational or legal sense -

Immigration status and enforcement is purely (as were told time and time again during Obama’s tenure) a federal level enforcement.

Therefore any state not turning over an ILLEGAL immigrant is therefore aiding and abetting a criminal action.

But the judge says this is okeedokee because states have the ultimate rights over their constituents?

Ergo - states now have the right to kick out any immigrants they don’t want.

This isn’t over.

65-70% of Californians are totally opposed to sanctuary anything. The Dummacrap party is in for a rude awakening soon.

well now. If the state has authority to inspect any place illegals are being held, can we suppose they will now be putting maximum effort into sweeping businesses statewide who are “holding” illegals in slave labor to repay their coyotes? no?

If there was state citizenship the same as there is national citizenship and one had to have passports and visas to cross state lines then immigration and wetbacking would be a state issue and not a proper case for federal intervention. I don’t think that is the situation, at least I don’t have to stop for a visa check when I drive up to Alabama.
