NEW YORK — A woman is climbing the Statue of Liberty, police said.
PIX11 reports park police and the NYPD are both on the scene. Two officers used a ladder to climb to the base of the statue and are talking to the woman. She is perched against the statue’s robes. Police have been talking with the woman.
She’s taken off her shirt several times and shown a message on it off, but the message written on her shirt is not clear on video from the scene.

There’s a police officer up on the base now, she looks like she’s trying to climb up higher.

There are several families that saved “hard earned” money just for a trip that included visiting the Statue of Liberty. There are too many sideshows going on in this country. The ne’er do wells have taken over America.
Isn’t he close enough to shoot her?
Frankly,I don’t care what happens to her.
She is putting other lives in danger and ruined what was supposed to be a nice holiday treat for many people.

I went to daily mail, have a clear photo of her holding the shirt up - guess she put it on afterwards.
As others have remarked — typical selfish leftist depriving hundreds of people the opportunity to visit the Statue.
Shoot her with a tranquilizer and then drop her off out in the woods. Put a tracking device on her too and tag her ear too.
Two cops got her. Just grabbed her now. Waiting to see how they get her down now. Sickening stupid ‘protestor’.
They should send out some old biplanes to attack her as she climbs .She could then start swatting at them.
