OK, I think this is a genius move by Jeff Sessions.
The supposed DOJ Awan case 'cover up' has upset many. But when you read the fine print, the plea only applies to DC (thread at link).

The Awan story and Debbie Wasserman Schultz connection needs national attention. imho, there are many questions that Ms Wasserman Schultz should be required to answer...preferably before she is considered for reelection!
Sessions is a worthless sack of cowardly incompetence. I can’t believe how many have been suckered into believing that he has some sort of grand plan to drain the swamp.
Just face the facts that no matter who we elect it doesn’t matter , the country will always be run by deep state swamp creatures.
I’m no lawyer like a lot of people seem to be and I have my doubts about justice being served, especially since wasserman’s brother was the prosecutor but it’s a glimmer of hope. This is supposed to be the month when the sun starts shining on some people. We’ll see.

Who were the last two Republican AG’s? Think about what happened to them. Sessions is a very capable placeholder and it’s better to have him there than no one. If Trump fires Sessions, Trump will never get another AG approved.
Pretty much.
Just as Republicans are more usually interested in getting along with Democrats rather than doing what they promised to get elected the Swamp knows how to protect itself.
It would be nice if Republicans treated Democrats as the enemies that they are.

There has been talk that Awan got a plea deal b/c he fingered even bigger fish.
Seems he sang so good about these bigger fish, the feds
gave him a bit of a pat on the back via the plea deal.
