I left the Republican Party. Now I want Democrats to take over
The washington Post ^ | July 04, 2018 | Max Boot

Personally, I’ve thrown up my hands in despair at the debased state of the GOP. I don’t want to be identified with the party of the child-snatchers. But I respect principled conservatives who are willing to stay and fight to reclaim a once-great party that freed the slaves and helped to win the Cold War. What I can’t respect are head-in-the-sand conservatives who continue to support the GOP by pretending that nothing has changed.

They act, these political ostriches, as if this were still the party of Ronald Reagan and John McCain rather than of Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller — and therefore they cling to the illusion that supporting Republican candidates will advance their avowed views. Wrong. The current GOP still has a few resemblances to the party of old — it still cuts taxes and supports conservative judges. But a vote for the GOP in November is also a vote for egregious obstruction of justice, rampant conflicts of interest, the demonization of minorities, the debasement of political discourse, the alienation of America’s allies, the end of free trade and the appeasement of dictators.

That is why I join Will and other principled conservatives, both current and former Republicans, in rooting for a Democratic takeover of both houses in November. Like postwar Germany and Japan, the Republican Party must first be destroyed before it can be rebuilt.

And it was Bill Clinton that ordered it!

Anyone recall the 75 dead kids in WACO?

Bill Clinton...

Funny thing about Waco was they tried to get us outraged over guns, that did not work, so they said Koresh was boofing the women, that did not work, so they said he was abusing the children.

Well... we just have to send in the tanks and burn the children to death!

Yup.. “Trumps the devil”... got it /s

Even Rush Limbaugh is perplexed by the NEVERTRUMPERS.

He says they’re actually exposing themselves as faux conservatives.

Dishonest propagandist. I hope all his type take their lies and elitism and leave the party as quickly as humanly possible. The anti-freedom, anti-values, anti-American, violent left needs his sort.

This idiot even puts Reagan and McCain together, which is hilariously ridiculous, especially since Trump is much, much more in Reagan’s vein than moderate globalist McCain.

He’s joining “principled conservatives” in rooting for the Cultural Marxists and socialists. LOL! This guy is hilarious (and about as “conservative” as Bill Clinton). I hope he doesn’t actually think anyone is so extremely stupid and gullible to believe his hogwash. I imagine it’s really just to make leftists who read the WaPo feel better in their time of loss.

But he’s right. They are child-snatchers. Our government snatched thousands of children away from human traffickers, where their parents had placed them.

“I don’t want to be identified with the party of the child-snatchers.”

So you would rather be identified with the party of the slave owners.

Agree entirely; the Bushes brought us twelve wasted years, actually pushed back on a lot that Reagan did and were the wonderful people who bought all those nonexistant WMDs in Iraq with US and Iraqi lives and trillions of dollars. They had no support in the Party, only due to him did they get anywhere. You can see exactly how this bunch really felt in old man Bush voting for Hillary, GW Bush hitting Trump in the back every chance he gets, Laura Bush breaking her 16 year silence to pen an hysterical anti-Trump tweed over a policy her stupid husband started. No, let the Dems have the Bushes, the armchair warmonger Max Boot, and George Will. I doubt that they want these scheming neocons.

It's the indies, not strong righties, or lefties. To keep government moving at a snails pace as designed, i'm OK with divided government.

On the other hand, things are so damn out of whack, only a Republican admin. and fortified legislature can fix it. Deep State may require more than that.

I’ve seen this guy’s name and stupid little picture before but didn’t really know who he was. It must have been from Gunzburger retweeting him, based on what I read I’d never have guessed he purported to be a Republican or conservative, I see he’s one of WA PO’s House Cuckservatives.

He “discovered” his White privilege. Well isn’t that special. Calls himself a contrarian? LOL

Acknowledging the importance of lower taxes and conservative judges and then endorsing the party opposed to those things out of hatred for the President that made those things possible. No actual conservative would EVER do that. That’s like a chicken willingly going into Colonel Sander’s oven cause he doesn’t like the paint job in the chicken coop. He endorses suicide basically.

Intellectual dead weight. Addition though subtraction. Another wart removed from the ass of the GOP.

Trading his White privilege for Fag privilege...

“Another wart removed (from the hemorrhoid on the rectal prolapse of) the ass of the GOP.”

Fixed that.
