One more Summertime memory, The Great Gran Parents had a farm and they grew strawberrys on it.... When them things came on it was all hands on deck as they only held for a couple weeks, and someones got to pick the damn things..
We’d all be out there picking, Making Strawberry ice cream cranking the churn with brother on top, till you tuckered out and he relieved you so you could sit on the ice LOL
Then you commenced to putting up jams and jellies..
I was Listening to the song “Summer of 69” Today I recalled, I was walking barefoot down dirt roads covered in tar with a fishing pole and a transistor radio.. popping the bubbles on the road with my toes...

My Grandparents had a summer camp and we would go there for most of the summer,
It was on Bretons Pond, and we would swim almost all day.
My step Grandfather was cleaning a large fish at the table, and I was sitting there watching him.
He lost his grip on the fish, and somehow it slid across the table and into my lap.
I was maybe 7 years old, and that fish was only partially cleeand and its guts were hanging out.
I screamed my head off!
I had just put on a brand new “sunsuit” (which was like a onesie for older kids.)
Grandpa hugged me and said he was sorry, but I didn’t believe him, because he couldn’t stop laughing!
Memere was mad, because of the blood and stuff staining my sunsuit!
