In a move that is alarming San Franciscos biggest industry, a major medical association is pulling its annual convention out of the city saying its members no longer feel safe.
Its the first time that we have had an out-and-out cancellation over the issue, and this is a group that has been coming here every three or four years since the 1980s, said Joe DAlessandro, president and CEO of S.F. Travel, the citys convention bureau.

Forget safe. I think there are sanitation concerns as well.
I can’t think of a place that has a bigger incentive to keep attendees chaste.
This place stinks.
What!? Doctors can’t handle a little hepatitis?
I think bad sanitation would qualify as a safety issue .
But wait a minute. Where’s the diversity and tolerance at over those less fortunate?
(Eddie Murphy when ice cream fell in poop) “It’s just sprinkles...sprinkles.”
If the city hires people to go out and measure the shirt on the sidewalks, then that city is a shirthole.
the great Karl Malden...you can darn sure bet he would know if something smelled bad
what’s interesting is that the communistic leftwing D’s have created a HELLhole for the City (”Shitty” is now the common term for San Fransicko).
A stinking hell-hole for residents, visitors AND THE SOCALLED “Street People”... all alike.
This may catch on as word spreads to other groups as they consider alternative places to hold their usual get togethers.
Exactly what I was thinking as well.
The residents will get no sympathy from me. Most keep voting for this.
This will not end well for San FRancisco!
At some point in time, reason, logic and common sense MUST prevail! The end result will not be pretty!

Agreed. The Californication residents keep voting for (and willingly paying the highest taxes in USA for) this kind of filthy, stinking rotten trash
They never prevailed in Detroit.
I went to a convention in San Freako in 1996. It was a dangerous place even then. The convention center was next door to crack houses and heroin dens.
I haven’t been there in a while but have heard that once beautiful Union Square has been overrun.
