Actually, I don’t see a lot of change in Mexico’s future. Somehow I don’t see this guy lasting too long as the drug cartels zero in on him. I could be wrong but time will tell. Just a premonition.

It may take Mexico a bit longer as their president has told them that they have the right to just invade the US, and our political leaders on either side won’t get serious about closing the leaks for illegals.

AMLO is alive only because he belongs to the cartels. He has all but suggested that cartel control of the Mexican interior be made official. Mexico will become a full-fledged narco-state.
It’s the cartels that will dragoon tens of thousands to march toward the border and overwhelm the Border Patrol by sheer weight of human flesh. Things could get grim as thousands of armed Texans rush into the breech with rifles capable of cross-canyon shots at 700 yards.
Well then since Mexico is now officially a Leftist Paradise, illegals should want to move back there, instead of staying in the “Evil, Capitalist, USA”, right?

I think you are correct.
The new President will bend to the cartels or they will kill him. It’s just that simple.
If Trump went to war with the cartels, a “kinetic” war, the influx of illegals from further south would be disrupted.
I favor war and literal death to the cartels which in fact are threats to the national security.
The Trump message to the new President...... end the cartels or I will end the cartels and you as well
