Former Republican Nominee for President wants to avoid a defeat for Trump's SCOTUS nominee
Cindy McCain has been offered her husband's Senate seat
Senator John McCain will resign his US Senate seat on July 4, 2018, says an aide who asked not to be named because he was not authorized to speak to the press.
"In the end, it was about Kennedy resigning from the Supreme Court," said the aide. "Confirming a (SCOTUS) replacement before the election is considered in the interest of the national Republican party, so that it doesn't become an issue for Dems to run on in every race," said the aide, meaning every race for Senate or Congress.
The Aide indicated that the Senator wanted to wait until June 1 to resign, so that his seat would not be on the ballot along with retiring Jeff Flake. Republican Gov. Doug Ducey will appoint a Senator to serve until the 2020 election.
The aide said that Ducey has quietly offered McCain's seat to Cindy, but the 64 year old wife of Senator John McCain has made no decision as of yet. "Understandably, she doesn't want to think about it," he added.

This is a typical John McCain move. Dominate the news on July 4 and the days thereafter. Appoint a Trump Hater to his seat, and attempt to torpedo Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court.
Quite a move, packed with hate for Trump, hate for America, and hate for Americans. Too bad that he is too ill to preside over the Antifa protests.

How the hell is she even qualified to BE a senator? Other than her husband was one? Total BS by going around the AZ public like this.
If this is true we have the dumbest governor in the USA. He has a 20% lead on the next Republican challenger and would be picking Cindy McCain for absolutely no gain.
IIRC, most states empower the Governor to name someone to serve out the term of a deceased or incapacitated Senator.
But if Maverick John McCain is really wanting a Trump nominee to succeed, then raise your umbrellas because there are flying pigs overhead.

Cindy cannot play the coy, grieving widow (to be) for too long. I don’t mean to sound heartless. Either you’re in or you’re not. Meghan would like to know for her own reasons.
Spouses have been allowed to take the place of a Senator who has become incapacitated. It’s not all that unusual.
We don’t like it here because John has been such an ass. We want to be done with just about anyone associated with him.
When dealing with a McCain take nothing for granted. I would assume Juan is scheming for a way to screw Trump and we conservatives from the grave. The plan: Agree to this and get the wife named who will continue to obstruct Trump for two years including voting with the Rats on all SC nominees. I’d rather make a deal with the devil himself because the devil is more trustworthy than McCain.
