The 12-year-old daughter of two undocumented immigrant parents delivered an emotional speech at the Families Belong Together rally in Washington, D.C., on Saturday.
The girl, identified only as “Leah” in a CNN video, fought back tears while speaking out against the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” policy, which has resulted in more than 2,000 migrant children being detained and separated from their parents.
“Why do they hurt us like this?” She said. “It is unfair that they get to spend time with their families today while there are children in detention centers and in cages all alone missing their parents, who are thrown in jail.”
The thousands of attendees cheered Leah on and chanted “Shame” in response to mentions of Trump policies and family separations.
Leah shared her personal fears that her mother will be arrested and deported, saying that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) wants to “take away my mom from me.”
“I don’t like to live with this fear, it’s scary,” Leah said. “I can’t sleep, I can’t study, I am stressed.”
“I don’t understand why this administration won’t support mothers who just want a better life for their children,” she continued. “This needs to change.”
Leah said that she wanted to be “an example” to other kids with undocumented parents, and to tell them “not to give up.”
“We are all human and deserve to be loved and cared for,” she said. “We are children. Our government has to do the right thing and stop separating us from our parents.”

The final word on all these “undocumented immigrants” is this:
IS THE USA THE ONLY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD THEY CAN GO TO, OR IS IT BECAUSE WE HAVE INTERNAL ENEMIES THAT STANDS TO PROFIT FROM THEM (IN MANY WAYS) AT THE PEOPLE’S & COUNTRY’S EXPENSE?
As President Trump says it is because we have the dumbest laws in the world when it comes to immigration.
They legally cross, it is legal for them to come across border cities to visit, shop- same as we can do in Mexico. They are not supposed to work here. At busy ports they don’t get recognized by Customs Inspectors (who rotate jobs frequently) for crossing daily, many have family on US side but tons more have jobs.
They are allowed to cross pretty easily and are not supposed to stay or travel away from the border. If they are crossing to travel away from the border they only need a permit.
Children freely cross the border to attend school in the United States daily and return to Mexico at night.
Mexican citizens who do not have a criminal record, have ID, and can show proof of living in Mexico near the border can legally cross. Those denied this- it is usually due to a criminal record either in Mexico, the U.S. or both. It is easy for them to legally cross through ports of entry that is why those crossing the desert, sneaking in are usually criminals.
I don’t plan to watch this propaganda piece; it would make me too angry. My mother and many of her generation emigrated here from war torn countries after WWII, but they came here LEGALLY and waited their turn in other countries. My late mother loved America even before coming here! As far as I am concerned, Mexicans and Central Americans can wait, too.
I don’t give a flying fluck what leah thinks or how much she cries.
I really don’t. I don’t have one shred of compassion for any of these illegals or babies who have been dropped on our soil from illegal parents. Neither of them should have any standing and as far as I am concerned that is what the Constitution says. Any other interpretation of it is a bastardization and just a lie to manipulate for personal or party gain.

The easy answer is her parents are criminal illegal aliens. In America we lock up criminals and put the kids with other family or in foster care.
It’s not complicated and really quite fair.
When you see the term “undocumented immigrant” in the headline, you know right away it’s a waste of time to read the story.
Again. I would love to see a moratorium on postings from this hellish publication for just one week.

Can’t do that in jail. That’s where criminals go. And putting a twelve year old girl into that atmosphere is a write off.

I feel sorry the girl. But she needs to understand that her parents are to blame for her fate. They broke the law.

If one can make it across the border into the United States our social welfare system will insure a living standard far in excess of what you had. This is an irresistible magnet. This is why a border wall is needed.
Oddly I do not blame these illegal aliens. They are just trying to survive. But they need to be sent back. However it is not our problem! The nations to our South are rich in physical resources. It is their corrupt political structure that makes them poor.
Using the children as political shields the way Saddam used people as human shields. It’s an “I dare you to attack this” method of war.
To the 12 year old girl:
Your situation is due to an egregious error your parents made. They are at fault, not the laws of this country. You poor dear are being used as a pawn in a political agenda, attempting to use people’s sympathy for you to pretend the law is wrong. The law is not wrong. Your parents made a mistake.

Sorry little girl it is not your government. Your government is the government from whatever country your parents brought you from.

An odd point of history is Cesar Chavez. He fought for higher wages for legal farm workers. They were in great need of Cesar Chavez due to terrible living conditions and wages.
He is to be admired. He was also totally against illegals working in the United States. He knew full well the illegals drove down the wages of United States citizens and legal foreign workers. His actions of years ago are not that much different than Donald Trump today. I admire Cesar Chavez.
Cesar Chavez is honored today by the left. However his actions would today be considered right wing racial hatred.
