While I generally avoid buffets, this one is pretty good.
Still I had never heard of "fried rice syndrome". But she found a lawyer that did ...
Wonder what kind of "preexisting condition" that the fair lady had.

When in doubt, invent a new “syndrome.”

This is one of the best buffets in Ellis County - talk about damning with faint praise!
Surprising that the byline was from a TV station in Greenville NC.

Fried rice syndrome? Oh, B. cereus.

It could have been worse. It could have been “fried lice syndrome.”

Sounds more like bacteria on buffet food syndrome.

It is generally a good rule of thumb not to go to a Chinese buffet in between lunch and dinner, from about 2:30 til they start charging dinner prices.

Maybe worth $25 or a free meal, certainly not $1 million. Crazy people!

If I was the defense lawyer, I would ask for actual samples of other foods she ate outside of the restaurant during previous 48 hours. The litigant has no proof that fried rice had any harmful bacteria. Did she submit a sample of that fried rice to police? Heck no. This is a frivolous law suit by a slip and fall law firm.

It’s all how you prepare it. If you do it Hawaiian style, and put in enough diced pieces of Spam, that will kill off any sort of bacteria that might be present.

What's all this about fried lice being served at a restaurant?
That's disgusting! People shouldn't be served fried lice!
never mind

I had lunch at a decent Chinese buffet today. When I got my bill, the girl said cash only. Internet was down.
The bill was $12.50. I only had $8. I told them they could take that and when I returned in a few months, Ill give them the other four bucks. I was traveling for work and probably wont be back that way for a while
