It’s not so much that they will be voting for Trump. It’s that so many won’t be very motivated to go out and vote against him.
Demos will need their base motivated. That may not be happening.
Yeezy, Candice Owens, and the #WalkAway movement are leading a lot of traditionally-Dem voters to consider the alternative. Anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together realized they weren’t much better off after 8 years of Obama, and in many cases worse. Similarly, those same people are coming to realize that unrestricticed immigration is bad for those in the lower economic strata.

Having an actual nuclear black family on the stage at the WH today was nice to see, although the mom drove me crazy b/c she kept fidgeting and even turned her back at times (what was she doing, checking her texts?).
It was a clear example of how Trump is helping black families, although probably not covered anywhere other than Fox. Maybe the word will filter out through Twitter or other media.
FRiend, you have not see racism in your lifetime like you will see if a significant percentage of blacks break towards Trump. Every racial epithet is on the table and will be flung around freely and with extreme vitriol, especially among black liberals but also many white ones too.

I was in the East Room for the event. The family was a very nice prop and a real example of how Trumpanomics threatens the ability of the Democrats to maintain a very fragile coalition.

A black recently told me he didn’t vote for Trump but would next time. He said a lot if people need firing and Trump will do it.

Yeah, I am not seeing that happen. Black women are the most one-sided voting block in the US. 94% for Hillary, 4% for Trump, 2% for 3rd party. That's not changing any time soon. At best, Trump will see that number go to 6% unless the DEMs have at least one black on their ticket, in which case the number could go lower than 4% for Trump.
Black men, OTOH, might go up. Trump got 13%, Hillary got 82%, and 3rd party got 5%. Depending on the employment numbers in 2020, Trump could see his support with black men go to 20%.
