Vice President Mike Pence demanded that Central American nations do more to stem illicit immigration, charging that few asylum seekers from the region had legitimate claims to safe haven in the United States.
“This exodus must end,” Pence told a meeting of leaders here Thursday from Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras — which make up the so-called Northern Triangle that produces much of the illegal migration traffic to the U.S.-Mexico border. {snip}

I hate the invasion as much as anyone....the same politicians who caused the problem have to be coerced into fixing it and that is what Trump is trying to do - having nut-jobs (much like the loony Left) threatening to go on a killing rampage (only way your idiot comment can be read) is what will give the Left the leverage they want to have the government stomp the People - that's what the Left wants more than anything right now.
When the People get angry enough - and united enough (hard to believe that so many who like to whine while never actually investing their time and money in the causes they claim to espouse will ever organize enough to be effective - look at how many FReepers never get around to donating - that's the pool we have to work with and it's depressing) to scare the politicians into doing the right thing, we will lose.
Anyone paying attention knows the politicians are the problem and the enemy but we have our anger misdirected in a way that ensures we are at the disadvantage - Trump realizes it but too many others won't allow their minds to grasp the reality.
What is your solution? If you don't have a clear and workable solution in mind, then all you are doing is posturing and blowing smoke.
I get the impression the Creole elites of Latin America are clearing their land of “surplus peasants” in the same manner England tried to clear Ireland for use as grazing land for livestock...
and there, my FRiends, is the solution. Equipping the illegals to fix their own country.
Right now, we send illegals back to their country without so much as a fair-thee-well. This builds resentment and a false sense of entitlement of being denied. Which works out perfectly for the home country because they get to focus and then hide behind all the heat on America.
So, let's try something different. Let's announce to the Triangle and Mesico, that starting next month, every illegal will be given 3-days of community organizing for democracy classes prior to being deported. Let's harness that Latina 'passion' for demonstrating, complaining, marching and making speeches. Then send them home to their leaders with our compliments.
And for icing, hold every single MadMax Dem/Socialist mouth to the fire by asking them why they aren't down in the affected countries giving their canned race-pimping 'save the children' speeches, instead of flying around on taxdollars perpetuating the American Apology Tour?
IIRC, Obama had buses and planes ready to transport the DACA children and pretend children all over the USA. I don’t think that any were sent to Malibu or Nantucket.

America is always at a disadvantage in any crisis that arises or is slow to anger. America is in the midst of a simmering conflict that will have to play itself out. I am only one and I’m growing older by the day. When the running retreat begins if there is a running retreat I will stay behind to cover the retreat. If you are my age you learn the battle is for the young. I raised my young and they are well educated and Conservative. Prayers your young are educated and Conservative as well. Little or nothing I say makes any difference with those that hate America and America’s Citizens. I will remain active politically but I will mostly remain stealth. Keeps the enemy guessing

Oh btw my children and I also have grandchildren are all proud of our Constitution and Nation. My family Is four generations of law enforcers lawfully. Want military experience ?? My family for generations has been Army and Air Force. Don’t like to brag but I myself have been 7 layers deep and real up close. Most of the time though it was I that was under observation. Without the Congress doing its job, task is as close to impossible as anything can be....some think Trump can do it himself because they want to believe that - then they have a target to be mad at even though it's the wrong target - even as being mad at the invaders is not 100% on target.
The government created the problem via Bush-type "compassionate conservatism" and pure socialistic liberalism and the government needs to do its job - and it may take some of what you offer up - the the question is how to get these other countries to start being more benign to their citizens w/o getting involved in things that will just anger more of our base - it may be hard to rid them of the dictators/Cartels that keep them in turmoil...in today's world, it's much harder for the oppressed to get the needed footing to be an effective resistance w/o outside help and many of our own who hate the situation are just as rabid about such intervention.....they won't generally come out and say it but they seem to think maybe some wholesale killing of the invaders would be justifiable.
At any rate, the best start is to stop the flow and begin to purge the worst as we get a handle on it and stick with it until stasis is reached - hard to imagine a follow-on to Trump that would be as hard-working for it so keeping him for 8 years is our current best bet.
The one obvious thing is that nearly no one will be fully happy with any of it....reality bites....
I apologize for most of my previous interactions - as my wife would say, it looks like most FReepers are a "passionate" bunch and it causes a lot of fur to fly - I think we suffer the same concerns but have different areas of angst and different views on how to fix it...causes hard feelings but also keeps life interesting....
Been on "vacation" for a few weeks and have a few days left to get home - getting tired and "edgy" as I am also getting "up there" and my lowered energy levels are making me even more snappish than usual.
You are right - the battle will have to be taken up by the young and that's probably got most of us worried because so many have been brainwashed - my own are conservative and not shy about it but too many align with the Left these days.
Maybe we are being relegated to becoming the Rear Guard as we get older ... here's hoping we have a worthy army to defend.

Thanks again and apologies again...we have 2 living children, 8 grand children and 2 great grand children. The adults are conservative and I have hopes the younger ones will grow up with the same values....most of our own fights are really for our coming generations and I think that keeps our own “passions” high...their futures depend so much on what we can manage to get done....I’m spending some of their inheritance on helping Trump and other conservatives...hope it is being well spent.

Trebb they are our children and grandchildren thus I as you if the need arises will lay down my life willingly to defend them. Our children and grandchildren are the arrows of our bows. They are the worthiest of our army as you know. Good luck and God’s speed to both of us
