From the moment he came down the escalator, I was captivated by what he might do to thoroughly change Presidential politics... and fix the country. Rather than being "unqualified" to be POTUS, Trump understood politics at a very deep level because he made deals with the big city bosses of New York and Chicago. So many steps he took in life prepared him for his TRiUMPhant electoral victory -- and his current success as President. — Writing business success books (he created the category) Now in terms of business, I think he made his mark mostly as a private, entrepreneurial businessman. Trump understands public company business and Wall Street, but he was never a creature of Wall Street. Rather, he took Main Street (lone entrepreneur) business to its highest level. And to become the King of Main Street business — where you get to call your own shots and not do the bidding of Wall Street financiers — he had to become the King of Self-Promotion. And when you combine Self-Promotion with entrepreneurial competence, well, there's maybe nothing in this world you can't achieve — as he's proving! |
