I once interviewed a 20-something college grad for a job, and she brought her Mother with her on the interview. After that, nothing else mattered, I turned her down.

As you should. In my case, the new grad bought his Mom too many years ago. The HR manager even said something to him as a suggestion never to bring your parents to interviews and cannot hire him.
