Justice Anthony M. Kennedy announced Wednesday that he is retiring from the Supreme Court, a move that gives President Trump the chance to replace the courts pivotal justice and dramatically shift the institution to the right, setting up a bitter partisan showdown on Kennedys successor.

It has been the greatest honor and privilege to serve our nation in the federal judiciary for 43 years, 30 of those years on the Supreme Court, Kennedy, who is stepping down July 31, said in a statement.
Kennedy informed the president of his decision in a letter.

Yeah.... NO....
They really are f-in crazy.
From twitter:
“If Trump conspired with Russia to fix the election for himself he is an illegitimate president. Then all of his appointees including CABINET MEMBERS & SCOTUS JUSTICES are illegitimate. Just saying.”
Just the title of the threads as jokes write themselves.
The libs know they are in a losing fight.
Confirmed that it is about the USSC.
Woh...that was scary...
I did wash my hands after returning to FR.
UM......Not this time.
I have been at work since 5:45, this morning. I still have about three hours of work to get done! Then I have to run a training meeting at 5:45, tommorrow morning!
I took a small break to stretch my legs and break my mind away from the same thing and got on here.
With all this on my mind, all the work to complete, etc... I want you to know that YOU MADE MY DAY, with this link!!
The left has no choice but to “Bork” whoever Trump picks.
His big list of Judges is very good. But the final selection has to meet two levels of criteria.
1.) Squeaky clean. If he or she spit on the sidewalk back in the 70’s it will be called littering and harmful to the environment.
2.) Be a true conservative and not a wind vane like Kennedy.
With all of the events in the last couple of weeks, the left is coming real close to instigating a near Civil War. Not a North vs South, but a East/West Coast vs Heartland. City vs Rural.
Stout Hearts my friends, while we may be enjoying WINNING, after WINNING, after WINNING. The left has been pushed into a corner and will lash out with self perceived justified violence.
Be vigilant not for just yourself and families, but for your fellow Americans.
Good for a few laughs.
Hey, start nuttin, won't be nuttin.
Get someone in there who applies the Constitution AS WRITTEN AND ORIGINALLY UNDERSTOOD AND INTENDED.
That’s how we turn this ship of state around, Baby.
And if Ginsburg dies anytime soon, multiply that violent frothing by 100.
Good post your post 68!
The LORD our God is a merciful God...
“With Supreme Court Justice Kennedy Gone, Abortion and LGBT Rights Are Next”
Our prayers are ever before Him.
Yep. Both parties are going to try and delay due to elections.
You got that right but why leave out the other .000000005%
And I don't think the People are willing to do what it takes to fix it either.
Now that could be taken as a racist statement.
Dang funny comment I thought
. ..whoever Trump nominates will have to be one brave (or crazy) son of a gun. The left and it’s partner media will shred his reputation, threaten his family and his and/or their lives.
I would tell Trump ‘no thanks” if he wanted to give me the nomination.
Just some random thoughts...
Where do we stand in the Senate on this?
The best that can be hoped for is 50 votes with Mike Pence breaking the tie.
Flake, in his last parting shot, will vote “no” for any conservative nominee, perhaps any nominee at all (just to spite Mr. Trump).
Collins of Maine is doubtful, not to be trusted nor relied upon. But “possible”.
Murkowski — will have to be wooed. Give her something to buy her vote. The end [almost] justifies the means here. She can be bought. If that’s what it takes, it’s what it takes.
McCain — absolutely a no vote, but with a bit of luck, he’ll be dead before the final vote and a new senator will have been installed in his place.
McConnell — will he do what has to be done, including overriding or ending a filibuster? That’s the $64,000 question.
