As the Dems go radical, Bill Clinton seems to see the danger of a red wave coming in November

Trump Derangement Syndrome is combining with resentment over the cheating of Bernie Sanders out of the 2016 presidential nomination to lead the Democratic Party toward an embrace of angry radicalism, which will result in rejection by voters on November 8.  Bill Clinton, who led his party to victory in the 1990s with moderation ("triangulation"), apparently sees the danger of the party repulsing mainstream Americans and gaining status as a radical minority, successful only in big cities.

Yesterday, he went on the little watched late-night program hosted by Trump-hating Trevor Noah and averred a "lot of respect" for the way Sarah Sanders handled her harassment and expulsion from the Red Hen restaurant.

Perhaps before going on air, he watched this video from the GOP showcasing the nasty extremism of the left these days:

I see Clinton as trying a little role-modeling and warning to his party about embracing hatred.

It will fall on deaf ears.

I am more and more optimistic over the possibility of the GOP holding the House and expanding its Senate majority.

Here is something encouraging.

I ran into an old friend recently. She has always been a pretty ignorantly loyal democratic voter; Obama fan, Clinton fan, even a Carter Fan and Reagan hater.

We caught up on kids and life. I asked her if she and her family were still voting for democrats. She didn’t get excited as I expected. Instead, she said they quit on politics. Then she said, “It’s a little embarrassing that people know I am a democrat these days.”

It reassures me that the hate is taking it’s toll.

Old white men of the Democrat party will soon be losing to young radical minorities.

And that's a problem for the folks who donate to the Old Liberal White Men because they were predicable in their support/payola. The younger Democrat Socialists are so radical that they are unpredictable because they only stand for communism.

Slick, for all his personal failings, can be highly astute on political early warning systems, and the Democrats ignore him at their own great peril.

But even if they do heed Slick’s warnings, Democrats, being Democrats, will just double down on their erroneous responses, and think those wascally Wepublicans duped them again.

Like the wascally Wepublicans are that smart.

What is not lost on me is the completely opposite paths and messaging between Hillary and Bill.

Bill seems to be the even-keeled observer (although his policy is wrong) and Hillary has become a shrill and bitter shrew. Amazing the now open contrast between the two.

Quotation from the above-mentioned article: "(Clinton). . .apparently sees the danger of the party repulsing mainstream Americans and gaining status as a radical minority, successful only in big cities."

Reality check:

The voting map of the 2016 election shows Clinton's wife's votes came from fringes, but populous, city and Democrat strongholds on the East and West Coasts, with only spots districts across the vast American population nationwide.
Bill Clinton is correct in his assumption, because he can look at the voting map documenting the big city fringe votes for Hillary."I am among those who think well of the human character generally. I consider man as formed for society and endowed by nature with those dispositions which fit him for society." --Thomas Jefferson to William Green Munford, 1799.

"Everyone, by his property or by his satisfactory situation, is interested in the support of law and order. And such men may safely and advantageously reserve to themselves a wholesome control over their public affairs and a degree of freedom which, in the hands of the canaille of the cities of Europe, would be instantly perverted to the demolition and destruction of everything public and private." --Thomas Jefferson to John Adams, 1813. ME 13:401

"The mobs of the great cities add just so much to the support of pure government as sores do to the strength of the human body. It is the manners and spirit of a people which preserve a republic in vigor. A degeneracy in these is a canker which soon eats to the heart of its laws and constitution." --Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Virginia Q.XIX, 1782. ME 2:230

Just watch The Young Turks (TYT) 2016 election night coverage on Youtube. These guys are beyond PO-ed at their own party. Their original plan was to put maximum, constant pressure on Hillary from day one. Well that didn’t work out too well! When they realized Hillary had lost, the anger at the establishment Dems was palpable. “We’re gonna shred you in the midterms”. Ocasio is only the beginning. This is comforting in the short run, as it only helps the Rs keep the majority in November. But when these guys eventually take the wheel, look out.

To be fair to Clinton, he did sign a welfare reform bill, his economic policies were not horrible. If you look at the spectrum of Over regulation (Obama) and no regulation (go back to the Hoover era), Clinton was not an over regulator in the same fashion as Obama or even what Al Gore was proposing. Quite frankly we are going to look back and wish this country had a Democrat party that was more Clinton that where it is going, it is heading to full blown Socialism-marxist. I am old enough to remember the early 70’s when leftist political violence was an every day event in the U.S. and Europe.

The ‘RATS get a radical Socialist elected for two terms and try to get snother elected for a third, but Americans had more than enough of that dog food. The conclusion the knotheads draw is that their candidates aren’t sufficiently Marxist-Stalinist. Keep up the good work! #MAGA #Winning

Karn Evil 9 by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Album: Brain Salad Surgery
Released: 1973

Welcome back, my friends
To the show that never ends
We’re so glad you could attend
Come inside! Come inside

There behind a glass
Stands a real blade of grass
Be careful as you pass
Move along! Move along

Come inside, the show’s about to start
Guaranteed to blow your head apart
Rest assured you’ll get your money’s worth
The greatest show in Heaven, Hell, or Earth

You’ve got to see the show, it’s a dynamo
You’ve got to see the show, it’s rock and roll

Right before your eyes
We’ll pull laughter from the skies
And he laughs until he cries
Then he dies, then he dies

You’ve got to see the show, it’s a dynamo
You’ve got to see the show, it’s rock and roll

Soon the Gypsy Queen
In a glaze of Vaseline
Will perform on guillotine
What a scene! What a scene
Next upon the stand
Will you please extend a hand
To Alexander’s Ragtime Band
Dixieland, Dixieland

Roll up! Roll up! Roll up
See the show

Performing on a stool
We’ve a sight to make you drool
Seven virgins and a mule
Keep it cool. Keep it cool
We would like it to be known
The exhibits that were shown
Were exclusively our own
All our own. All our own

Come and see the show
Come and see the show
Come and see the show
See the show

This year the election is on November 6, not November 8 as indicated in article. But if liberals want to wait until the 8th, I’m fine with that.

Obama hands down. There was virtually no push back on Obama, there would have been plenty on Hillary. That said, after Obama laying the groundwork Hillary would have been able to build on that.

One of the best concerts I have seen and I have been to many.

Was talking to my family about presidents during a long car drive. Hate to say it, but I think Clinton is the 3rd best president of my lifetime.

Even my #1 Reagan had his stuff I disagree with. Clinton had plenty, but especially post '94 election, I'd take that in a heartbeat. I think his overreaching in the 1st 2 years, led to a pretty decent last 6, all things considered, even if he was a sleazebag.

FWIW here's my ranks Reagan, Trump, Clinton, Ford, Bush 1, Bush 2, Nixon, Carter, Obama, Johnson.

Obama’s was the only illegitimate administration in US history.

The Kenyanesian Usurpation was only possible with the full cooperation of the GOP.

Say what you want about Bill Clinton (and I have a LOT to say, myself), but he is among the most astute political observers and practitioners out there.

Remember 1994? Because of Hillary trying to shove a single payer system down our throats, and the Assault Weapons Ban, the Dems lost 54 seats, and control of the House for the first time in 40 years (thanks a million, Newt!). What did Clinton do? Well, he didn’t dig in his heels like the ideologue, Obama. Nope, licked his finger, stuck it in the wind, and figured out that the wind was blowing in the opposite direction to the one his was facing...so he turned around and tried (rather successfully, I might add) to own the reforms that the Republicans championed.

He may be an evil, corrupt lech (well, let’s stipulate that he is all of those), but he’s a Class A politician. If he’s telling the Dems to cool it, that means that they’ve gone way too far. And, no, they won’t listen to him. The Dem Party is way too far Left to listen to the likes of him any more (and thankfully that’s the case - I don’t want them to listen to him any more than I wanted Hillary to do so...and she didn’t, and got her fat ass kicked by Trump).

Hello Red Wave! I simply cannot wait to see this thing crash ashore and utterly wreck all Leftist dreams for at least the next 2 years. The only thing better than that will be a Trump landslide in 2020 - which I expect. 375 - 400 EVs, folks!

I will give the Devil his due here, Clinton in his day was one of he greatest retail politicians I ever saw. That is until he was eclipsed by Donald Trump.

Hillary’s unending and unbending arrogance lost her the election. Her biggest mistake was not listening the Bill on how to run a campaign. He could see all the pitfalls, but she was “TOO SMART” and thought she did not need his advice.

Bill Clinton now reminds of Richard Nixon after he was out of office, he was still one of the best political prognosticators I ever saw, and he called 1992 for Clinton.

So if Bill Clinton is saying he thinks he seeing the beginning of a Red Wave then I would believe it. I think even the modern Democrat Party, ever moving more Leftist and advocating violence, is leaving him behind to.
