The Red Hen Restaurant should focus more on cleaning its filthy canopies, doors and windows (badly needs a paint job) rather than refusing to serve a fine person like Sarah Huckabee Sanders. I always had a rule, if a restaurant is dirty on the outside, it is dirty on the inside!
I agree. The media is going to have a field day. Sarah handled it properly. She didn’t bring it to the media’s attention, an employee did. President Trump should have stayed quiet. I didn’t like that it happened but it is in the same spirit as the baker and the cake. I was happy they won the day. Consumers in that area have the power to vote against this restaurant owner with their money and not patronizing the establishment.

Why do they have a legal right not to serve her? The only reason the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the baker was because his religious views were treated so poorly in previous courts.
He’s a builder who has restaurants in almost all his hotels - including Trump Tower where I’ve eaten (it is very clean - the public bathrooms look like Versailles!). He notices things like that. The problem is, we’ve never had a businessman as president. People aren’t used to this style.

Agreed. Trump pushes the envelope, and in our present environment, dominated by leftist media, academia, and government, there is no other way.
They didn’t to my knowledge, and that’s my point. The focus was on the restaurant not serving Sarah. Liberals were defending it and conservatives were sticking up for Sarah & other Trump Administration officials. Liberals looked bad, in my opinion. I feel this shifts the focus from Sarah being denied service to the President attacking a private business in the press.
IF a conservative business did do this, though, would you want Obama calling them out personally?

While I don’t like what the owner did, they took Sarah aside and quietly asked her to leave. This is just like the baker and the cake. If the employee had not brought it to the media’s attention, it would not be news. I agree that Trump should have called out the cretons standing at the table of the staff member and shouting at them and forcing them to leave the restaurant. THAT owner should be held accountable for not making the cretons leave. They were disturbing every person eating there. On this though, President Trump should have let it go Elsa...

I am hesitant to second-guess Trump on ANY of his tweets anymore.
I believe there are only several areas of the country, two being Seattle and Washington D.C., wherein it is illegal to discriminate based on political beliefs. I don’t agree with it. If I had a business, I’d serve everyone, sans perhaps catering or hosting a specific event I didn’t agree with.
The guy was speaking as a business owner, not as a Milquetoast politeness monitor. I understood where his viewpoint was coming from and approve.
