Perhaps the biggest roadblock to Trumps MAGA agenda has been radical, liberal judges. These men and women, appointed by previous presidents and other powers, have interfered with President Trumps lawful authority.
But thats all about to change.
Judges are supposed to be impartial. They have a solemn duty to uphold our laws. Decisions made by judges can decide the fate of not just one person, but millions. Judges that preside over federal issues can very well affect the lives of every last American.
Weve seen how radical judges can harm our country. Obama-appointed judges have overstepped their bounds by attacking Trumps lawful executive orders. They have allowed their personal, political views to violate their responsibilities.
Not only that, but certain groups within our government have been appointing judgeswithout the approval of the president. This is clearly a violation of the Constitution. Thankfully, the Supreme Court felt so too. Now many questionable judges are about to get their walking papers.
From Reuters:
The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday expanded presidential control over pivotal jobs in federal agencies, ruling that the way the Securities and Exchange Commission selected its in-house judges to enforce investor-protection laws was improper.
In a 7-2 ruling, the justices overturned a lower court ruling that had endorsed the SECs in-house judge hiring practice that operated autonomously from the president.
The ruling could reverberate through the federal government, which has nearly 2,000 administrative law judges deciding matters as varied as unfair trade practices, veterans benefits and patent infringement. Such a ruling could also make it easier for some of these judges to be fired by political appointees.

The judges are not in the category of the regular federal judges in the judiciary. The ruling applies to judges in the executive regulatory agencies. Another area where we have such judges is in the immigration procedures involving illegals, requests for asylum, violations of visas, and perjury as to answers on visa, citizenship, and other immigration processes.
I wonder if this affects FISA court judges who I understand are appointed the the Chief Justice of SCOTUS?
Maybe they are getting tired of decreasing readers and circulation.
Im also surprised the decision was 7-2!
You can only impeach a justice/judge that has been nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate. You can’t fire them or reduce their salary.
2. Congress can reduce the number of judges and eliminate circuits entirely, or add new circuits. So that the current Ninth Circuit might have jurisdiction only for the north end of China Lake while three new circuits have jurisdiction over the rest of the West Coast.
We are talking about Administrative Law Judges that set thousands of petty regulations — not real judges.
These are crap judges appointed within and by EPA, Department Labor, etc, and etc. They aren’t really authorized except by the behemoth itself.
As I read it, and it’s kinda late here, this applies to Administrative Law Judges, not federal court judges.
Thanks. I wasn’t exactly sure of their role, but had picked up on the idea they weren’t judges in the criminal justice system.
He has the power to appoint an interim and if they don’t confirm he can appoint another.
These are judges that didn’t go through the President. Appointed by others.
At the very least, it’s a good bargaining chip if the senate doesn’t start approving his judges. Don’t approve my nominations, and I’ll start axing all the libs I can.
The decision will allow the President to appoint them rather than the bureaucracy they are representing, as it should be.
My response was directed as the folks who thought this applied to district and appellate court judges, which it does not. Those are all appointed by the sitting president and confirmed by the Senate.
