Italy's two deputy prime ministers accused French President Emmanuel Macron of being "arrogant" and said that France risked becoming Italy's "No1 enemy".
Writing on his Facebook page, Luigi Di Maio said: "Italy indeed faces a migration emergency and it's partly because France keeps pushing back people at the border. Macron risks making his country Italy's No.1 enemy on this emergency."
The row came as the leaders of 16 European countries travel to Brussels for a highly unusual and hastily arranged meeting on migration.
The migration issue has caused renewed and deep divisions between European governments and even within national coalitions.
The latest crisis was brought into focus both by a political crisis in Germany and after the new Italian government turned away a boat packed with 630 migrants rescued in dinghies off the coast of Libya 10 days ago.
The Aquarius was rejected a safe port to dock in by the Italians and the Maltese. It eventually docked in the Spanish port of Valencia on Sunday.
But an identical situation is unfolding again with 339 people rescued over the past few days off Libya currently in limbo on two vessels in the Mediterranean.
Italy and Malta have both refused to allow a Dutch-flagged charity rescue ship called Lifeline and a merchant ship operated by Maersk Line from docking.
Figures released this week by Eurostat show that there were 739,000 asylum applications made across the EU in 2017. That represents a 44% drop on the previous year.

It won't be long before we see ships funded by George Soros loaded with refugees set sail from Venezuela to Houston.

Marxist billionaire Soros family needs to be liquidated and its property given to the poor. That what socialism is all about, right Georgie?

Macaroon is committed to the EU, while Salvini and the Italians have had enough of it. Italy is proud of being Italy, and will survive. France is has lost its soul, and is giving up its identity for the sake of the EU.

Instead of saying “migrants”, just say “unskilled welfare leeches”.
Puts the whole issue in a clearer perspective.
(works in the case of the southern US border too)

Merkel started all this and for heaven’s sake WHY? Does she hate her own country? Is she that Stoopid? What’s to gain for her? She’s about to lose her lucrative job on top of everything else. Mystery.

Maybe some folks need to read it again more slowly for some chance of comprehension.
"

That's what European countries should be doing. Italy should not be allowed to push hordes of Africans to its northern neighbors.
This is what northwestern Europeans should be doing in spite of Luigi's wishes.

That's what Italy should be doing instead of demanding that other European countries take the migrants.

Yes. The word, Gaul, was associated with the Celts' use of the Gaelic language.

Nationalism always will survive ideas like the EU. It wont be long before the whole EU thing dies a slow death.

And they are doing the right thing taking a stand and calling out the hypocrisy of the globalists like Merkel and Macron who force Italy through the EU to accept a tsunami of migrants they can’t handle.
Macron is the worse hypocrite because he closes his borders to the migrants dumped into Italy.
The French president called what’s happening with Italy’s new government “leprosy” the other day.
He is opposing real change.

True that Macron is a useless lefty! The sooner he is replaced by a better president, the better. Same with Merkel. If and when enough of Europe awakens to the pro-American, pro-Israel point of view, we’ll be better off, too (less Euro-meddling from the left in our elections).

"Macron is the worse hypocrite because he closes his borders to the migrants dumped into Italy."
He should keep doing that, though. France began to stop the incursions from Italy several years ago. The U.K. has even become a little more cooperative with France since then.
"The French president called whats happening with Italys new government 'leprosy' the other day."
Agreed that Macron should stop doing that. It's retarded. ;-) He can't please both sides in the issue in his country anyway and needs to choose the right side.
Both France and Italy should stop taking in the hordes of invaders from very expensively different cultures to the south. Helping to facilitate the destruction of civilization in France, the U.K. and Nordic countries by sending the migrants to the north won't make Italy or Spain any whiter.
All of Europe needs to cooperate and stop it. Granted, cooperation on that scale in Europe might be a first if possible at all. It seems that they've always bitten at each other's hindquarters. ;-)
