Good morning people.
Had one helluva weekend up here in Delaware. Events involve arranging with a state Senator to help euthanize Diane Feinstein’s dog (WE DID IT! Senator’s Aide coming HERSELF to help us with the dog.
Also, most important, weekend visitors from North Carolina. I spent the whole weekend making fun of Lindsay Graham.
Yesterday we drove up to Baltimore and I attended a family reunion. Saw folks I have not seen in over 40 years. Tears and smiles and joy it was. It was my stepmother’s family. My stepmother, a most wonderful woman, died when she was 50. It was my half brother, my stepmother and father’s son, who was visiting me.
My brother’s wife, as an aside, has a cousin came in second in this year’s The Voice.
It was truly a great day but really outside of my routine. Right now, as I type, they’ve left for North Carolina and finally there is peace and quiet in my house.
Tomorrow, Diane Feinstein’s dog. Indeed I did take care of it. I once wrote a wonderful, and true, op ed about this state Senator and they are all pitching in to help us out.
Sad and happy and all but a whole weekend with no politics? I didn’t even watch Fox as I gave the company the remote.
At any rate, putting head back in gear and glad to be slipping back into my political junkee role.

This has to be the worst lists of guests ever? Apparently the Repubs wanted to talk about the IG scandal.
Looks like ABC & CNN are going all-in anti-Trump! But, what would one expect?!!
Cause du jour: The chillin’! The nets are playing right into the hands of the voters. The voters are tired of the never ending lies about the chillin’ and the boarder. Good for November for the pubbies.
boarder = border
Another day, another dollar.
Hopefully, lost a dollar.
Pentagon slush fund in the millions/billions. Its called the “overseas contingency operation fund” which is only 70 billion this year which is used for almost anything has been as big as 187 billion dollars, quite the slush fund.
Sharyll telling all.
Well, if we have to hold little Pablo without his Mami, he is a boarder!
Andy McCarthy on FOX panel is talking about that right now.
President Trump, via Twitter this morning:
“Democrats, fix the laws. Dont RESIST. We are doing a far better job than Bush and Obama, but we need strength and security at the Border! Cannot accept all of the people trying to break into our Country. Strong Borders, No Crime!”
Andy McCarthy on Mickey's show, in answer to Mickey's question if the Meuller investigation should be shut down - The Russia involvement portion of the investigation should go on - but the Trump part has no basis
The wall will solve part of the problem. 40% of the illegal aliens in the country came here legally and overstayed their visas. We need to cut off the job magnet by passing mandatory e-verify.
We need to reduce legal immigration substantially.
I simply cannot stress how many RINOs we have in Texas.
You nailed it, sure can’t have the truth talked about.
From The Hill (http://thehill.com/homenews/sunday-talk-shows/393836-flake-trumps-attacks-on-democrats-bothersome-unhelpful-in):
Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) said Sunday that President Trumps constant attacks on Democrats immigration views undermine efforts to broker a deal for reform on the issue.
Congress has to fix this. And whats bothersome is the presidents rhetoric about the Democrats and their unwillingness to have any type of border security or control, Flake said on ABCs This Week.
Flake, an outspoken GOP critic of the president, noted that Democrats have in the past voted to support billions of dollars in funding for border security enhancements, such as the 2013 Gang of Eight bill that ultimately failed to pass in the Senate.
They are on record supporting significant border control, Flake said. And so, when the president says that and calls them clowns and losers, how does he expect the Democrats to sit down and work with Republicans on these issues?”
Words matter, what the president says matters, and he ought to knock that off, added Flake, who is retiring in January.
Trump signed an executive order last week halting family separations. He has called on Congress to pass additional comprehensive immigration legislation.
On Sunday, Trump urged Democrats to fix the laws, adding dont RESIST.
