Red Hen owner Stephanie Wilkinson said she was actually home when she got a phone call informing her that Sanders had walked into her small, farm-to-table restaurant.
[The chef] said the staff is a little concerned. What should we do? Wilkinson told WaPo. I said Id be down to see if its true.
Wilkinson also said she had her doubts that Sanders would actually be in a restaurant in her small, rural town but once arriving, she confirmed it was true and Sanders was indeed seated at a group table with other adults.
She then huddled with the staff, many who took issue with the White House on a number of issues and some who are gay, and asked them if they thought Sanders should go.
They did, so she asked Sanders to accompany her to the patio.
I was babbling a little, but I got my point across in a polite and direct fashion, Wilkinson said. I explained that the restaurant has certain standards that I feel it has to uphold, such as honesty, and compassion, and cooperation I said, Id like to ask you to leave.
Absolutely, yes, I would have done the same thing again, the Red Hen owner said. We just felt there are moments in time when people need to live their convictions. This appeared to be one.

Haters gotta hate...
Their reported sales for a restaurant are extremely low. 250K a year? How does a restaurant survive on that? Somethings amiss.
Liberals should love this:

President Obama has topped predecessor George W. Bush in another poll, but not one he would like.
In a new Quinnipiac University Poll, 33% named Obama the worst president since World War II, and 28% put Bush at the bottom of post-war presidents.
“Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel,” said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.
That tells me this will help their business.
"She also owns yarn company and makes hats / gloves for parades and marches . i.e. womens march, gun safety in every city I forgot other one I saw posted. This page has bios of her and her co-owners. They opened last August."
“Absolutely, yes, I would have done the same thing again, the Red Hen owner said.”
Good! If at first you don’t succeed ( in decimating your business) try, try, again!
As an added “feature,” she can have her wait staff don their pink vagina hats, that’s a sure crowd pleaser.
Liberals dont seem to have any loyalty beyond self, I really doubt they will go out of their way to help another like conservatives do.
Star on msnbc she will be fine
Hopefully, this wretched place becomes the DEAD Hen very soon. If any locals have any hens who died from natural causes, I’m sure they would make fine decoration for the front of the restaurant. All those pretty feathers and such...
Just try to remember who drew first blood.
It wasn’t Conservatives who were beating people up at rallies and rioting in the streets.
The libs and progs want a war; comes down to it we will give them one, and we don’t take prisoners.
Boycott by the right? Doubt it will do much to this place. If you want to hurt them, sit down during prime business time with your laptop for a two or three hour cup o’ joe. Enjoy your time.
The NappyOne
Meryl Streep ate at that cannibal place in L.A. IIRC.
Don’t have link handy that news is several months old.
She is probably neck deep in pizza lovers.
We are indeed in a civil war, no flying bullets......yet. President Trump is fighting a huge battle in The Swamp and WE need to take care of our little skirmishes like the Red Hen. DO NOT PATRONIZE ANY RED HEN establishment.
So if conservatives are so evil, how do liberals get away with attacking them without repercussion? The answer is that the premise is false.
I tend to agree with your view. In that town, this will boost her business.
The Left would never stop harping about how savage Trump supporters are if we act like the Left. Yes, I know theyre hypocrites. It just comes with the territory.
Time to stop bending over for them, then.
Where We Go One, We Go ALL.

What, no Peanut Farmer? No LBJ?
