(CNN) - President Donald Trump has taken almost every possible Republican position on immigration in the span of a week as he's tried to deal with the crisis he created of separating thousands of children from their parents at the border.
He's changed policies, made declarations, said his hands were tied, untied them to sign an executive order that may or may not accomplish anything, blamed Democrats, blamed his predecessors, demanded Congress act, tried to force Congress to act, refused to endorse a specific congressional bill, promised a sweeping immigration reform was possible and, most recently, said Congress should just give up for a while. The tangle of statements coming from the President's mouth, his Twitter feed, and secondhand reports of what he told Republicans during a trip to Capitol Hill are more confusing than his wife's decision to wear an "I really don't care. Do U?" jacket on a surprise trip to see detained kids at the border.

Hey CNN:
WE control the House
the Senate,
the Supreme Court,
the Presidency,
the majority of Governorships
and most State Legislatures.
But thanks CNN for your silly ‘concern’ about our ‘mistakes’...
Only if he cares about what CNN says about him. I am sure there are other examples of what Trump thinks about CNN and whether or not he cares about what CNN says.
Lets make a note of it then remind them, the next time they go back on that.
How cute. You expect logical consistency from the Left.
L
Well, that’s the end, for sure.
Trump didn’t do it. You fags in the commie lib, snowflake “media” did it with your lies.
Maybe CNN should team up with Tom Arnold and Peter Fonda... become VSL - Vile Stupid Losers...
Thanks.
I know the term “3D Chess” is used a lot, but what else can you call it when the guy plays them as well as he does?
He beats them to a pulp, and they stand up to claim victory.
LOL
And a skill saw...
“:^)
Seems like it doesn’t it.
Trump just sliced their Gordian Knot in two and moved on.
Typical gvt bullsheit. The form itself is 10 pages. The instructions for it are 17 pages.
He looks at a problem, makes a decision, and acts. If something changes his mind during the course, he won't wait days to change.....he does it immediately.
I'm glad he said wait until after the election, to tackle the immigration business, because Ryan was cooking up a super duper crap sandwich that would have choked our country out of existence.
Trumps Immigration Policies Are Actually Pretty Popular

from link:
If you get your news from the mainstream media, youd think the American people were demanding lax border enforcement, when its the exact opposite. Again, this is particularly true of Republicans. While Republicans who oppose this policy dominate most right-of-center space on cable TV and in the media, only 4 percent of actual adults who identify as Republican strongly disapprove of the policy of jailing illegal border crossers. Some 85 percent of Republicans support either Trumps executive order for family detention or something stricter. Only 7 percent oppose all such detentions.
The poll also shows that only 8 percent of American voters think illegal immigration is not a serious problem.
“You cant talk to an abstraction alright, but to cite that in the present instance is to twist language to support a strawman argument. I dont remember when I ever told anything to conservatism. I have told things to people who were conservative.
To win liberals, I was as a liberal. Straightforward bible application”
I think this would be characterized as a ‘testimonial’ rather than a persuasive argument, right? Otherwise it’s throwing pearls to swine though who knows maybe one of those swine will make good use of them.
Exactly -- it was a set-up. It is Saturday morning, and all of the news is still stuck on this non-story. Illegal immigrants bring their illegal immigrant children with them to break the laws of the United States; and, I am supposed to give a damn that their children are separated from them for an hour or two while the agents try to figure out if they are REALLY their children, or if some drug dealer or human smuggler got paid to get the kid to the border. I'm done with this story and I don't care about what is happening down at the border UNLESS it is progress on the giant WALL!
Of course, what is the media NOT talking about --- the IG report!
Liberals are utterly blind to anything other than their utopian vision.
They’re crying “Kids in jail! That’s not acceptable”. The only solution they can see is “kids are a get out of jail free card, open borders for all the illegal alien families”.
No, there’s another solution - deport all the families immediately.
AND build a wall so that you can’t come in with little kids. If people can illegally enter a country with toddlers, your border security is weak.
It’s worth checking out unknown individuals to see if they will be all persistently swinish. Laziness and lack of confidence can also undermine potential testimonies.
One thing we never know till we check it out is how a person who was an ass (or a swine) in the limelight might react in private. I wouldn’t want to freeze anyone into a hopelessly damned category due to solely his or her limelight behavior, as pride is a powerful delusion.
The availability of an easy grandstand robs many people of reason. It’s kind of like a kid being able to televise his or her tantrum.
