A panel of pollsters is predicting that Democrats will win back 23 seats in this year’s midterm elections, enough to win back the house majority.
Hill.TV’s “What America’s Thinking” canvassed its panel of pollsters on how many seats Democrats will gain.
The average answer for the first-ever Poll of Pollsters was 23 seats, the show announced Friday.
That’s exactly the number that Democrats need to flip control of the chamber from Republicans. (What a coincidence)
“I feel like if 2016 taught us nothing, it is we should not make predictions. So I’m doing this under duress I’ll have you know,” joked pollster Anna Greenberg, who predicted Democrats would gain 25 seats.
Republican pollster Ed Goeas of the Tarrance Group predicted it was a “better than even chance” that Democrats reclaim control of the House for the first time in eight years.
He predicted Democrats would net 23 seats.
Carly Cooperman, a partner at Schoen Consulting and a Democratic pollster, predicted a gain of 24 seats. “We see the generic vote is in the Democratic favor and a lot of the competitive seats are held by Republicans,” she said.
Former Clinton pollster Mark Penn predicted a gain of 28 seats for Democrats.
The Poll of Pollsters is an unscientific survey. It canvasses about two-dozen top pollsters in the country on a question of public interest and then averages the total of the answers.

Not really. What I see are tons of people going to protests. Watch June 30th where 430 cities in America are having a protest about the babies. Tell me those people won’t vote.
I told you there was a race in Miami. Last I checked that is not a state. Watch June 30th where 430 cities full of people protesting the babies. The numbers will tell all. Tell me they won’t vote. This is not 2016 you are correct. This is a different animal. I wouldn’t be worried if republicans were showing up to vote.
Another thing the ostriches don’t realize is the enthusiasm. June 30th is going to be interesting. That will tell all. That’s the day that 430 cities are protesting the babies. If people here don’t think they will vote they are crazy. Thank god for gerrymandering. Otherwise November would be a bloodbath. Now we probably only lose 30 seats which sucks. Trust me. I hope I’m wrong.
I wonder if the Huffington Post is predicting the probably the demo_rats take control of the house is 98%?

There is a big difference between losing some State seats and losing 1,000 seats overall, including the House and Senate.
That Democrat in Al. is not going to keep his seat in 2020.
