FWIW, Obrador is basically a Communist that will start out as Socialist much like Chavez did in Venezuela.
Social Justice for “Native Mexicans”, with a boat load of free stuff that will be paid for by the rich guilt ridden white Mexicans that are really Spaniards.
However, in order to reduce the burden on their Government largess he seems to have done some math and is therefore encouraging those Natives to head north to the US.
The rich white Mexicans will be happy to pay more in taxes if they get financial security and can project themselves as caring for those natives.
I think initially Obrador is going to have a difficult time encouraging an exodus. Some of the upper middle class white Mexicans may see the writing on the wall and will head north shortly after his election.
If/when Obrador is elected the white upper class Mexicans will start moving their assets out of the country.
Obrador will likely place restrictions on these transfers.
Obrador will build a financial Wall that keeps money in country and at the same time attempt to push the native Mexicans into the US.
We in the US, may at some time in the future, need to reconsider our immigration policies.
Reconsider the difference between native Mexican migrants that are being “pushed” into America and the white Mexican Spaniards that are trying to escape Communism.
