Well THAT was another great big lie wasn’t it?
So basically it's a picture of crying toddler. Not separated from mother....ever.
When you’re worse than a magazine that sold for a dollar (the whole magazine company, not a single issue) you might want to quit digging.
Not surprised it’s fake.
Surprised Reuters reports it.
“The photo was used on a Facebook fundraiser that drew more than $17 million dollars in donations from close to half a million people for the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES), a Texas-based nonprofit that provides legal defense services to immigrants and refugees.”
Seems like fraud.
But they can say they presented the photo in good faith, given the fake reporting.
The mother left husband and 3 other children and took off for the USA. Obviously not eligible for asylum since hubby said he was looking for economic opportunities.
Lying by mouth or by print in a manner that damages the reputation of a party regardless of malice or intent is a tort. Entire books are written about it, and remedies are codified in various parts of U.S. law. That said, perhaps it’s time to revisit and scrutinize the precise boundaries between “free speech/press” and tortious and actionable libel/slander by the media. Candidate Trump touched on this but the usual suspects said he’d be tampering with the ‘sanctity’ of the press. I think such a reexamination is worth looking into.
In other words, the wife kidnapped a daughter and abandoned her husband and other children in Honduras. Oops.
wait so this dad is assuming his daughter identifies as a girl? That’s not the American way! As punishment he will have to watch Bruce/Caitlyn videos to see how it is done.
Loathe does not begin to describe how I feel about the Leftstream media.
I remember when the NY Times was known as
'All the News that is fit to print' and morphed into
All that fits (our screwed up agenda)
Hmmmm, Korean War potentially ending or fake issue with fake crying kid.....
The Image: A Guide to Pseudo-Events in America
First published in 1962, this wonderfully provocative book introduced the notion of pseudo-eventsevents such as press conferences and presidential debates, which are manufactured solely in order to be reportedand the contemporary definition of celebrity as a person who is known for his well-knownness. Since then Daniel J. Boorstins prophetic vision of an America inundated by its own illusions has become an essential resource for any reader who wants to distinguish the manifold deceptions of our culture from its few enduring truths.
Can’t wait to tell the neighbor his precious TIME magazine has lied to him again.
So the crying girl was another fake news story? Go figure. It’s unfortunate that someone isn’t being fired. They obviously didn’t do any journalist investigation on the matter.
