There is of course a slant to this report however, we need to look at how truth is presented to understand progressives.
A long-running battle has now escalated to the point where House Republicans are threatening top federal law enforcement officials with contempt of Congress if the Justice Department and FBI do not comply by the end of the week with document requests related to the Hillary Clinton email and Trump-Russia investigations.
[snip] Republican leaders gave DOJ and FBI until this Friday to comply, a source familiar with the meeting told ABC News. Lawmakers had not received all of the requested documents as of Wednesday. The House Intelligence Committee has been given access to a "small portion" of the documents requested, according to a congressional official.
The Justice Department and FBI did not immediately respond to a request for comment, but FBI Director Chris Wray said last week that while his agency has "an obligation to be responsive to legitimate congressional oversight" it also has "an obligation to protect sources and methods are not compromise ongoing criminal investigations."

When the week is over there will be no documents and the Republicans will meekly shut up, and then go vote for Ryan’s amnesty.

My take on it is this, In order for the House to take action they need the Speaker to bring the motion to the floor.
Lyin, RINO Ryan is holding them hostage. He is not going to take any action until he has their vote to push thru his Scamnasty Legislation.
My bet is that is what Meadows was so pissed about yesterday. Ryan most likely failed to follow thru on his threats to the DOJ/FBI after they failed to comply with the Weds. Timeline Ryan laid down last Friday.

They’re threatening to impeach. The could also hold RR in House Jail until docs are produced. They can... i doubt they will.
I’m confused, does contempt happen before or after a letter or even a stern letter? So for, contempt is just what I feel towards congress - utterly meaningless.
Easy fix: President Trump tells them they have 24 hours to hand over all requested documents, unredacted and complete...if not, mass firings begin.
And the FBI did not want to release the name of certain agents because they were involved in counterintelligence ... except it turns out that two were not. The fact that Wray accommodates such malfeasance means he is too compromised to run the FBI. We've been lied to enough.

The GOP congresscritters are exactly like the liberals and the liberal media. NObody believes anything they say anymore.
I got an idea. The President orders a battalion of Marines to secure evidence and interrogate witnesses at the DOJ and FBI buildings.
Within a week we should have all the evidence we need to conduct trials at Gitmo.
