Believers, of course, are those naive and clueless individuals that really, really think socialism will work this time around. We can put some % of academics in this category.
Haters are those like the BLM mobs that are envious and jealous about everything that made America, and are so filled with hate that they wish for nothing more than to bring it down, degrading the backbone of the country.
Jokers are the media/entertainers. Since they are actually in a commercial business, they need to generate revenues. Ad sales are supported by content, so the name of the game is the constant search for interesting content. Even if there wasn't a political slant, the media would have to engage in controversy just to keep their core audience.
Junkers are the GOPe - the US's version of aristocratic Germans that thought they could control Hitler. (Shirer noted it was a combination of the general staff & Junkers that allowed his rise.) Like the Germans, the GOPe goes along with the program because it's worth an incredible amount of $ money for them eg CoC.
And last, we have the true Nazis - the people/groups determined to game the system in order to achieve and wield power. These are psychopaths like Clinton, Obama, et al who view the constitutional system not as an fair, ordered whole, but a tool to leverage control.
Take an issue, any issue really, and I think you'll find the reference guide provides a handy means of shorthand to quickly ID the players, their roles, and typical behaviors/techniques.

Laura Ingraham said on her show that the government was spending around 1/3 of million dollars per year per child. Boy, those cages Obama built must be expensive!
She made the point that there are millions of American children who don’t get anywhere near that amount spent on them, and the left doesn’t seem to care nearly as much about them as the children coming in illegally.

I still say Trump fell for it too, he really didn’t have to do anything, but he reacted to the outrage and played right into their hands.
Their only objective is to have an issue to win with that blames Trump.
"Trump is beating and jailing babies color in cages like rats in the desert heat" is a good enough narrative for them to hammer Trump and the Republicans in the mid-terms.
Now that he has signed an EO to stop the separation policy, it is still not good enough for the Left.

Good Lord. Pres Trump does not fall for anything. He calculates and decides what needs to be done to advance his goals. Pres Trump is not hampered by what the left might take comfort in because they will twist and turn whatever he does in order to discredit him. He stopped the faux outrage being pushed by the lying media by giving Chuck Schumer his EO and nothing has changed except now the children are sharing the same quarters as their illegal, law breaking, parents. Now it is on to the next horrible outrage that will surely take out the legally elected US Pres and immediately install puppet crooked Hillary Clinton on the commie, globalist, throne. Also the whole episode has stripped another layer of deceit from the leftist narrative of selective outrage. Trump marches on and works for the American people. Not only are people easily manipulated, but this the whole new “virtue signaling” industry has been built up into this glorified pedestal like an Olympic gold/silver/bronze stand. So, perversely yet inversely: in the same way it is possible to anonymously hurl inane teenage insults that would ordinarily get one’s face smashed in if they were stated in person; now you can anonymously proclaim your moral superiority (an absolutely fundamental tenet of liberalism) to the world. For free. Don’t have to actually do anything; just proclaim your heartfelt emotions and curse America. It’s in effect a contest that encourages people to show how completely stupid and gullible they are, as long as they have more stimulating emotions than the ones you have. It’s galling to me because I get to asking “how great a country can we really be if so many of the people are this dumb?” Never do they consider the emotional storm they get to go through over a picture that could have been taken anywhere.
