I thought white people were evil. I was wrong. Whenever anyone mentions the historical atrocity of chattel slavery, white people will emerge from the dark crevices of humanity to gnaw away at the assertion like roaches on a discarded Cheeto. They will explain how most white people didn’t own slaves. They will offer a convoluted explanation about the Confederacy and Southern heritage. They will introduce the concept of “presentism”—the idea that we shouldn’t judge the actions of people in the past using modern-day standards—as if the white people of the past couldn’t quite grasp the idea of inhumanity and brutality until 1861.
Everyone knew that slavery was evil. Everyone knew that Jim Crow was evil. Everyone knew that lynching was evil. Everyone knows that any kind of injustice or inequality is evil. These things persist because most white people don’t actively fight to eradicate them.
And most white people don’t actively fight to eradicate inequality and injustice because they usually benefit in some small way. The Southern economy was built on evil slavery. Jim Crow laws maintained a national order with white people firmly planted atop the social hierarchy. Systematic injustice keeps black people in their place, but it also comforts white people to know that the big black bogeymen are being kept behind bars...

This is a story written by a racist! A black racist. A person who never was a slave and doesn’t want to acknowledge the truth about slavery. All races have suffered slavery. Almost everyone has an ancestor who was a slave. Not to say slavery is right. But thank God the world is changing.
Like most leftists, this POS probably thinks that the only place slavery was practiced was what was later to become the USA. Not so. Historically, there isn't a society that at some point hasn't practiced slavery. But we as a society have grown up and eliminated slavery, at least in Western Civilization, which interestingly enough, leftist idiots like this love to demonize.
So maybe this POS should get off his ass, and start protesting at the UN to end slavery. There's nothing any of us can do about slavery in the USA from 150+ years ago. I have absolutely NO guilt about slavery, it was a bad thing, but it's in the past. There are still slaves in this country, and they're people like the author, who are slaves to identity politics, and laying of mass guilt. He's a guilt pimp.
So he needs to STFU and fight slavery that's going on RIGHT NOW!

You seem righteously up in arms that white people go crazy when another speaks the word “nigger.” Where is your outrage when another black uses that word? Where is your outrage at blacks killing other blacks? Where is your outrage about the high percentage of black women aborting their children? How about the number of single women raising their children without a husband?
