On Monday, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe refused to testify to the Senate Judiciary Committee about the IG report’s findings on the FBI’s handling of the Clinton email investigation.
McCabe invoked his 5th Amendment rights on Monday after failing to receive immunity from prosecution in exchange for his testimony.

I take a slightly different tack on the immunity issue
You grant a very limited immunity on a very tightly defined issue. Then McCabe has to decide on that limited issue to testify or not. If he has limited immunity on that subject why shouldn’t he? In testifying he loses easily defensible ground. If he doesn’t testify after receiving limited immunity on that subject he convicts himself.
Then come back and repeat the tactic. Wash away an other piece of the ground he is standing on.
After multiple repeats McCabe has defined exactly what he has done and to what degree.
It will take time, money, and patience; but, he will end up like the King and his new clothes. When that happens even his most ardent supporters will have publicly abandon him and attend to their own defenses.
Who says any immunity deal has to cover everything?
NO IMMUNITY UNLESS HE IS GIVING UP ØBAMA AND HIS CABINET, AND ONLY IF THAT IS IN A SWORN STATEMENT.

Remember when they gave a Hillary crony immunity to testify, and everyone thought the jig was up for Hillary.
The crony just came out and said that nothing illegal had happened, couldn’t recall, Hillary wasn’t there, Hillary did nothing wrong, etc.
That’s what I suspected this jerk would do if he got immunity.
The way to proceed with these traitorous criminals is to convict, sentence to prison, take into custody, lock in cell, AND only then approach with a deal offer.

there should be a law that any government employee who ‘takes the fifth’ can be immediately fired and any all benefits/pensions revoked.
The ‘servants of the people’ have to be accountable to the public they are supposed to be serving. You have Constitutional Rights, but the People have the Right to have public employees who are accountable for their actions.
Continually answering to reidiculously ‘I dont recall’ might likewise allow removal from the job for mental incompetence.
But at least having THAT made plain in a public trial can give their superiors sufficient reason for firing.
And he is also feckless.
