At this point I believe the upper levels of both departments are irretrievably, irreversibly corrupt. I would wipe out - fire with prejudice - the upper layers a fair ways down into the organizations. Charges should be filed against anyone who even remotely smells of having broken the law - sort it out in discovery.

The individual agents and lawyers retained should be properly sobered by that - that this **** is serious. The remaining investigative and technical capabilities should be reorganized and assigned to other agencies. The overall effect would be and is intended to be stunning - when you eff up this much at this level entire agencies go away. We will not let a relatively few corrupt individuals eff up our Country, we will come after you and all your cohorts in crime.

>>”...purge the whole rotten, evil place...”

From Sessions and Wray on down.<<

Maybe it is time for somebody outside the FBI and DOJ to take charge. Obviously, promoting insiders is not working.

The entire counter-intelligence arm needs to be disbanded. They have no right to spy on American citizens.

Problems start at the top. When there is incompetent leadership, the process usually goes to hell quickly just as it has done in the Justus and fbi. I am astounded that Trump is tolerating this BS without making the obvious changes needed.

Shut them down and start from scratch. A wide swath of Americans will no longer trust these agencies in their current incarnations. Obama had 8 years to install bad people, from the top right on down to janitor, so there are major issues that can't simply be solved by getting rid of upper management.

Given the number of documented felonies every one at those levels is guilty of misprison of felony. 18 U.S. Code § 4 - Whoever, having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony cognizable by a court of the United States, conceals and does not as soon as possible make known the same to some judge or other person in civil or military authority under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

Can't have felons running DOJ.

Exactly. While Hoover was attempting to deal with a real problem - foreign Communist-directed infiltration of our institutions, particularly the State Department, along with the academy and media - he used truly terrible tactics. Blackmail was one of them, planting of evidence was another, and probably just about any illegal practice you want to name could be included.

The FBI, no matter whose side it was on at a given moment, has been an out of control agency for many a long year, IMHO. The whole thing should be shut down, restructured, perhaps have some of its duties spun off - and prevented from becoming what it has become, the US version of the KGB.

The most sickening sight I have ever witnessed was Wray standing up there saying nothing to see here. What he should have said is this is offensive to every honest FBI agent and we intend to clean up this mess and never allow it to happen again.

Instead he stood before the American people and tried to pretend we thought the entire agency was corrupt. The man is obviously not up to the job and he obviously has no respect for the American people.

What President Trump Should do is call Wray and Sessions into his office and tell them to clean up that mess or he will.

hoping Trump unleashes his dogs and ends these criminal empires once and for all

***************

These are executive branch agencies that have grown into highly politicized bureaucracies that are operating outside of our laws. This cannot be allowed to stand.

As the nation’s chief executive, Trump could make sweeping personnel and structural changes, but he hasn’t. And there’s no sign that he will. Its very disappointing.

He seems to be reluctant to do this. The strange thing is, he has plenty of compelling reasons and even evidence of partisanship and criminality to clean house, but still won’t do it.

He has too much on his plate. Sessions and Wray are both weak ineffective men. Who do you replace them with?

I deftest Wray. There is something about the man that turns my stomach and I don’t know what it is. Just intuition, but strong intuition

The FBI was in the process of becoming a corrupt Secret Police Force like we see in 3rd world hellholes.

The FBI was transitioning...taking bribes, working WITH corrupt power 'elites'...

The FBI changed - becoming loyal to POWER THUGS NOT to the rule of law, not to the Constitution, or 'the people'... they moved toward corrupt power - covering for Hillary, working against her political opponent.

The FBI would have become Hillary's 'muscle'... had she been elected - they were almost there... her secret police...her midnight knock boys.

If Trump had not been elected the FBI would have been Hillary's storm troopers, Hitler's gestapo, the Mullah's revolutionary guard... We dodged a bullet on this one...

Why are these agencies allowing this rogue lawlessness to rule?
Why?

It benefits them. It gives them more power.

Why is the Congress allowing this?
Why?

They are afraid of the agencies themselves, and moreso, afraid of the Media which backs the agencies. The Media have been pushing for more, bigger, less accountable government for at least 50 years, if not 70.

My heart cries for my country
What are we, really?

We have been a Mediacracy for 50 years, at least.

And now these agencies are ruining Trump associates and aiming at Trump as their ultimate trophy?

President Trump has shown the Mediacracy no longer controls the narrative. Control the narrative, control the Country. He is an existential threat to the Medacracy, which is an existential threat to the ability of the agencies to flout the law and Congressional oversight.

Trump does have a lot on his plate. No question about it. But to me, doing nothing is not an option. The “leadership” in these agencies clearly does not respect Trump’s authority. He cannot allow this corrosive layer to remain in positions where they can continue to undermine him, and that is exactly what they are doing.

The public is well aware of the need to clean house and wants to restore confidence and integrity in these rogue agencies. The public will back him. Trump can do a recess appointment to replace Sessions.

With regard to Wray, he is just another Washington weasel.

Its past time for Trump to get started on draining the Swamp. He committed to doing it but talking and tweeting isn’t getting it done.

Again I say who do you replace them with? Who is strong enough to clean out that Augean stable?
