Merkel faces defiance as poll shows support for tougher stance on migrants

As Chancellor Angela Merkel fights to save her government in a heated battle over immigration, an opinion poll Friday showed most Germans support the tougher line of her rebel interior minister.

The survey found that 62 percent of respondents were in favor of turning back undocumented migrants at the border, in line with the stance of Interior Minister Horst Seehofer, who is openly challenging Merkel.

And 86 percent want faster deportations of rejected asylum seekers, a process now often held up by bureaucratic hurdles and legal challenges, according to the Infratest dimap poll.

The survey turns up the pressure on Merkel, who has faced a backlash for allowing into Germany more than one million people fleeing war and misery in Syria, Iraq and elsewhere since 2015. …

Are there similar polls for the US?

What happened to Willkommenskultur? Did the Gutmenschen encounter some of that vibrant diversity first hand?

One might want to mention as well, that all the interior Minister (Seehofer) wants to do....is enforce the Dublin Agreement. The agreement, signed by most of the EU members, in the 1990s....says that once you hit some shore or land...with the intent of asylum, you MUST do it there, and not SHOP around. It’s a signed agreement, and simply needs to enforcement. Merkel won’t say it in public but her entire vision...is to dump the Dublin Agreement.

The problem here, is if they do arrive at a dysfunctional coalition, then you have to arrange for a new election (they just held the last one in Sep 2017). The curious thing from the campaign period of summer 2017, is that the news media and the various political parties...absolutely avoided the topic of migration. So the public sat there wondering how the mess would be resolved. Now, we know....it cannot be resolved with Merkel in charge or the current coalition.

But I’ll add this one observation. Merkel’s party (the CDU), and the opposition party (SPD) would both go into a new election with lesser numbers than in Sep 2017. With the exception of the AfD folks....no other party wants to entertain the idea of resolving the migration crisis. The AfD is loaded with various characters who aren’t ready for the prime-time, and at best...might get 18-percent of the national vote. I don’t see any new election resolving much of anything, but getting everyone to a likely third election within two years. The public needs some Trump-like character and party to arrive, but it’s just about impossible to envision this to occur.

What the one world government people seem not to understand is that people want their own nation, their own culture, their own traditions.

Opening borders to people who do not share the culture of their people is always going to end badly. Two cultures can live in peace as long as one is very dominate over the other.

They can not exist in peace when the smaller one uses violence to get their way.

The one world government people are diluting their own citizens influence and rights with people from a culture that will never (because of their religion) assimilate into the host culture.

Violence and war is unavoidable.

The people of Europe are beginning to wake up to the fact that their governments have sold them out. It is interesting to note that they first disarmed their citizens and then punished self defense and now putting people in jail for speaking out about what is happening. By attempting to silence resistance they have removed the safety valve on a pressure cooker. Rather then allow the pressure to bleed off safely (with opposition to the policy) they will get an explosion when the pressure builds up too much.

It may be too late for a peaceful solution, and civil war (between the people and their masters, and the third world invaders).

A great deal of this is because of leftist (Progressive) false assumptions about reality.

Here are some of the false assumptions.

1. All people are the same (all over the world).
No, they are not. People who believe in murder, rape and slavery as perfectly fine institutions are *not* the same as western Europeans.

2. People are driven by economics. All else is secondary and minor.

Nope. There are numerous other drivers, including status, power, religious conviction, desire for territory and national pride.

3. Help people and they will love you.

Nope. Many times, people resent having to be helped, and will find ways to rationalize that they deserved the help, Allah put the helpers their as a resource for them, or that it is their duty to take advantage of all help given, and demand more.

“It may be too late for a peaceful solution, and civil war (between the people and their masters, and the third world invaders”.

Couple that with the weak demographics, in all European countries, which halve their native populations in a generation, and the process is accelerated.

-—Violence and war is unavoidable.——

you have correctly described the end condition. The invaders must be killed or deported to maintain cultural integrity. The invaders eschew assimilation. there is no middle ground

The same is true in America where the Catholic Hispanic invaders have no desire or minimal ability to assimilate

false assumptions...

Zactly. We hold these truths to be self-evident, but everyone else does not.

Unless the U.S. liberals and our illustrious “politicians” get behind Trump, we too will be like Merkel’s Germany, meaning “lost”.

“the Catholic Hispanic invaders” do not want to assimilate. You mean that the Protestant invaders will assimilate but the Catholics will not?

I think you mistake the problem. When an immigrant community is very large, they will have s separate culture at least for awhile, regardless of which Christian denomination they belong to.

In the Upper Midwest, the Catholic Hispanics are assimilating just fine. They are hard working, friendly, and happy to be here. Their kids learn English and if the parents have not learned it, the children translate for them. It is not different from the large numbers of northern Europeans experienced when they came to Minnesota 150 years ago By the second generation they are marrying with other US folks and becoming full integrated.

What do you think you can do to stop that?
Go back and whine at the moderators to delete your old posts one thread at a time?
