A group called Students for Fair Admissions sued Harvard contending that the school’s admissions process significantly and unfairly limits the percentage of Asians who are accepted each year. Today the NY Times reports that an analysis of Harvard admissions records filed in support of the group’s lawsuit shows the school is consistently downgrading Asian applicants on subjective personal qualities in a way that reduces their overall admissions rate:

Harvard isn't worth a pimple on a bull's ass. It is now just a brand like an Apple iPhone, sort of an overpriced prestige designer label, another Versace, an iCollege if you will.

When will Asians show up on TV Ads?
My (dead) mother in law said Jews used to have quotas in college admissions-—a limit on how many Jews were allowed in.
Then, she said “quota” has later come to mean trying to force unqualified blacks into college instead of Jews, Asians and whites who were scoring higher on everything tested for.
I said to her (a 100% liberal) how could you still always vote Democrat after that? No good or reasonable answer.
I hated her.

In the US, the term Asian has come to mean East Asian (formerly Oriental which means... east. How racist.). How soon will the term be expanded to include the scimitar swingers who are also from Asia? See, we're inclusive. We have lots of Asians.

Seriously, why haven’t applicants figured out how to game the system like ‘those who identify as black’ do? It’s already broken, might as well take the whole window out. Any White or Asian should ‘identify as’ oh, say, Guatamalan or Peruvian or Lybian or some other Middle East country that universities love so much. Put the school on the hotseat to prove the student isn’t. A few years of admissions chaos and they’ll either clean their acts up or go under. Which might not be a bad thing, depending on how many of their ‘preferred’ admittants already routinely default on government-insured student loans.
When I was a Navy Recruiter there were days we could only enlist specific ethnic groups, such as “Hispanic only” or “native American only.” Blacks and whites were blocked. Fortunately the prospect was whatever he claimed he was. It was all so stupid.
