James Comey doesn't know a whole lot. Whenever he's asked to testify, out spill a lot of Clintonesque claims of ignorance. But even by the standard of things that Comey doesn't know, this section from the IG report is truly impressive.

And the reason that’s so vague in my head is I think—I never imagined that there might be something on a guy named Anthony Weiner’s computer that might connect to the Hillary Clinton email investigation, so I kind of just put it out of my mind.”
I was so laser focused on my sworn duty to thoroughly investigate the “midyear” case, that I overlooked the possible connection to the small, local matter of Anthony Weiner which was trivial and no one was even talking about.
This guy is pretty good at the keystone cop routine, but everyone knows better. He’s the Pontius Pilate of this whole ordeal. Couldn’t let go and retire. Couldn’t ignore the “matter” on his desk. But also couldn’t serve justice because too much was at stake for him—the “reasonable” person.
