“Drain the Swamp” was a central theme and refrain of Trump’s campaign, often repeated at his rallies. Further, he has stated (via Twitter) that “I will Make Our Government Honest Again — believe me. But first, I’m going to have to #DrainTheSwamp.” So this was no casual slogan; many of his voters saw it as a promise.
Trump has had lots of accomplishments but draining the Swamp so far isn’t one of them. There is a crisis of confidence in our government right now. As the chief executive, Trump needs to step up and fix it. Its his job.
I forgot about Freisler. Hitler use to joke about how he had turned the former commie Freisler into his most fanatical Nazi judge. I bet Mueller would give him a job too.
