Ever wonder why going to university nowadays can leave parents broke, or kids with a mountain of debt? If you or your kid is planning to attend Rice University in Houston, be prepared to pony up $46,600 for tuition. If your kid needs to eat and prefers to sleep indoors, your total tab for the year will be $61,350.
But you can rest assured that your lifes savings will be put to good use by Rice University, funding such important research as the forthcoming report, Kicks Hurt Less: Discrimination Predicts Distress Beyond Trauma Among Undocumented Mexican Immigrants. Sorry, no hyperlink is available, so if you just cant wait to read the report youll have to pick up the latest edition of the American Psychological Associations journal Psychology of Violence.
Spoiler alert: This Rice University research report found that 69 percent of undocumented Mexicans living in high-risk neighborhoods near the California-Mexico border reported interpersonal discrimination due to being undocumented. Full disclosure: I didnt read the report myself I got that information from the press release.
Not to make light of peoples emotional distress but most assuredly to make light of Rice Universitys absurd and expensive waste of resources the report comes to the startling conclusion that people who violate U.S. immigration laws feel stigmatized for breaking our laws.
I can hardly wait for Rice Universitys next groundbreaking research report, Speeders Feel Discriminated Against for Driving Too Fast.

Well, BFD
I guess we shouldn't be surprised that their dull minds couldn't make the next logical step to conclude that the reason they are "undocumented" and "discriminated against" to begin with is because they are here illegally. And I suppose it would be too much to ask for them to make the next logical step and conclude that the solution to these problems would be self-deportation.
Okay. So who really gives a crap what these Illegal Invaders think or feel.
I sure as hell don’t give a crap.
Easy solution. Go back from where they came from.
Discriminate (v): 1) recognize a distinction; differentiate.
We discriminate between ALL criminals and law-abiding citizens.
Perhaps they feel unwelcome because they contribute negative value to the community
That awkward feeling you have when you know you’re committing a felony and other people are looking at you.
In Mexico a child can take you into custody for being there illegally and order you to-and-fro.
LOL
So you based your doctoral thesis on this fact?
Should have gotten a job at McDonalds for all the good their discovery does the country. And yes id like fries with that.
My poor heart bleeds!
It’s no fun, being an illegal alien.
I'm glad that you brought this up. The Orwellian Left has hijacked our language and turned "discrimination" into a dirty word.
Discrimination is the faculty of recognizing differences between things, such as the fact that illegal immigrants are not the legal or social equivalent of US citizens.
Naturally they feel uneasy with ICE out there looking for them. I know how to stop that - send them to a sanctuary where ICE isn’t allowed to go. Guatemala, for example.
So if I read that sign correctly, if I surreptitiously enter your home and just sit on the couch, I am not a criminal. Is that about right?
Sounds right to him!
They should all file complaints to San Fran Nan, she’ll poke holes in the air and console them.
