. Earlier this week Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was forced to apologize after eating at Chick-fil-A… during Pride Month! The horror! Twitter and Square CEO Jack Dorsey ignited a backlash online after revealing that he ate at Chick-fil-A this month.
On Saturday, Dorsey posted a photo on Twitter with the caption "Boost @ChickfilA," showing he had saved 10% on a $31.58 order at the fast-food chain. A "boost" is a cashback reward Square users can earn when using a Cash Card, which is a debit card from the payment platform.
Critics immediately seized on Dorsey's support of Chick-fil-A — whose CEO has come under fire for his views on same-sex marriage in the past — during Pride Month.
"You must love the taste of bigotry!" one person wrote in response.
"Why is Twitter boosting a notoriously anti-gay company during #PrideMonth?" another person wrote.
Among the critics was the former CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien, who said, "This is an interesting company to boost during Pride month, @jack."
Dorsey responded: "You're right. Completely forgot about their background."

I had just moved to a part of the country that had Chick-Fil-A and made sure to go there for dinner that night. I had to park in a mall parking lot and walk over to the restaurant.
Might have been my first time there. My family hadn’t moved yet.
Fast forward a few years. CFA store now less than 1/2 mile from home. My kid just quit after working there 2-3 years and loving it. Might have to go this week.
As it is I rarely go there because it’s SO busy I can’t get back from lunch in time.
Chic-Fil-A recently opened a new restaurant in National City, right next to San Diego. If you are in the San Diego area take the I-5 south to Mile of Cars Way and you will find it close to the freeway. I wish them the best.
This is funny, the Stalinists again wanting to boycott an American establishment. Why don’t these Stalinists move to Venezuela where they can boycott the USA every day?
There’s no chick fil a near here, or I’d be there once a week.

You kidding me? Even at the height of the marriage stance years ago, CFA was and STILL is packed, holding up traffic here in Hollywood.
I know a LOT of libs who eat there for dinner and lunch. This is one boycott which will not make a dent in sales I guarantee it.
I have a shirt that reads “Take back the Rainbow.”

I thought they were already boycotting Chick-fil-A over something or other. Is this double secret boycott?
The last time they did this was how I discovered Chic-fil-a and it looks like I need to give them a try again.

I’ve been going to Chick-fil-A since the early 80’s when they were exclusively stands in Mall food ares, and have never been disappointed. Funny that they held the EXACT same position then as they do now. Who moved?
