Several photos of Prince George playing with a toy gun on Sunday sparked a heated debate on social media.
The 4-year-old future King of England was enjoying some playtime alongside his sister Princess Charlotte and friends when he was snapped playing with a plastic gun.
The young prince's mother, Kate Middleton, appeared to be enjoying the downtime as they watched Prince William play at the Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy at Beaufort Polo Club.
Many took to Twitter to criticize Will and Kate for allowing their son to play with a toy gun.

"This isnt okay anymore... My American side here, biased maybe b/c of everyday #gunviolence in USA, but my British side agrees. No child in this day and age should look at any gun as a fun toy. "
I was little we played with toy guns all the time.
We even divided into teams and played World War II.
And one of the teams would be called the Japs.
My God if I was young today who knows where me and my friends would have ended up.
pretty sure mrs. prince harry already stamped her royal wedge and you can bet any of their kids will NOT be playing with any toy weapons. She already told harry no fox and hounds for you. Or dove, quail, goose, duck shoots either.
I also heard this fine prince joined the NRA!
My only complaint is the lack of trigger and muzzle discipline on display.
The pussification (if thats not a word I just created it) of the world continues by those on the left.
Meanwhile Tommy Robinson is going to be killed in prison because they just moved him from a Muslim minority population to a prison with a 70+% Muslim population...
“And one of the teams would be called the Japs.”
Interesting. Down South the other team was always called Nazis.
Before we ever bought toy guns for our first son, he was using sticks for guns and building guns out of legos.
Not the world. Just white males.
I got my first gun set in 1951, 4 years old. I always liked being the Mexican Bandit. Don’t know why but maybe it was those crossed bandoliers. I would sling my gun belt over my shoulder and have fun.
Now the faint hearts have ruined everything starting in 1968 with the murder of Bobby Kennedy.
Yet another story about some crap random people said on Twitter.
About 15 years ago I took a 6 year old grandson to Lexington,MA.
After doing the historical things we went into the gift shop——and they sold toy, wooden, muskets.
A young boy about my grandson’s age picked one up and asked his father to buy it for him-———and the man went totally NUTS!!!!!!! I felt so sorry for the kid.
.
I prefer “Nancification.” Buncha Nancys.
Did they cease selling the replica military weapons?
That’s all the news is anymore. Random crap people say on Twitter.
