Overall enrollment in the nations food stamp program has dipped to its lowest level in eight years, according to the latest statistics released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The latest USDA data reveals that enrollment in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)the federal government program that administers food stampsdropped to 40,083,954 in March 2018.
The last time enrollment in the food stamp program reached that level was February 2010, when 39,588,993 people participated in the nations food stamp program.
Although overall enrollment has reached its lowest point in eight years, food stamp enrollment has been declining steadily since 2013 and has only continued throughout President Trumps first year in office.
Under Trump, 2.2 million fewer people have discontinued their participation in SNAP, mainly due to the Trump administrations attempts to reform SNAP by controlling program costs at the federal and state levels.

People are starving because of Drumpf
(do I really need a sarcasm tag?)
“That’s too ______ high!”
That is maybe one of the worst situations for supporting untruths with incomplete statistics I’ve ever seen. 15% of US citizens are African American, yet they account for 25.7% of Food Stamps. Country 63% white, 40% of food stamps. Add to that, this chart is from 2013, when the damage from Obama’s policies was just setting in. If it’s an attempt to sanitize results of Obama policies, it’s an epic fail.
OOOOO! Trump is starving people! Trump is killing people!
Truth: Trump has brought jobs, and pride, back to this country!
MAGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
f*ck the left!
7% of the population is African American males. They commit 53% of the murders.
Good news.
Whites roughly 65% of the populace...
Blacks roughly 15% of the populace...
Whites get 40.2% of the benefits and Blacks get 25.7% of the benefits.
Whites outnumber blacks by over 4 to 1, and get services at roughly 1.6 to 1.
Trumps focus on jobs and trade and bringing industries back to the US is what is doing it. They aren't cutting people off who need it, that I'm aware of.
“Under Trump, 2.2 million fewer people have discontinued their participation in SNAP,-——————”
That sentence makes no sense.
21st century journalism.

But there’s no longer an even semi-credible excuse for being poor. Even the physically challenged can find opportunities if they are willing to look for them and learn the sills involved. Poverty is mostly a result of BEHAVIOR.
