WASHINGTON Larry Kudlow, the director of President Trumps National Economic Council, spent Tuesday morning calling friends who said they expected him to return to his White House job after recovering from a mild heart attack that landed him in the hospital on Monday.
Mr. Kudlow, 70, seemed to be back to his usual self, friends and colleagues said, as he placed and fielded calls from Walter Reed Medical Center. On Tuesday afternoon, White House officials said Mr. Kudlow remained in the hospital and confirmed they expect him to return to his position.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, said in a statement on Tuesday that Mr. Kudlows doctors expect Larry will make a full and speedy recovery.

Take your time, Larry. Any White House administration is going to be tremendously fast paced and high pressured.
Think about if this is really working for you and your wife.
Don’t think you have to stay on that treadmill and martyr yourself for The Donald.
You can help in other ways.
Garbage. Some people thrive on hard work and challenges. Worst thing a man like LK could do is retire and take it easy.
I agree.
Priorities change after a heart attack.
I agree with you....challenges are what keeps a guy going. But I’ll make a bet here that over the past four weeks....he was probably working in some capacity near 60 man-hours per week. Between high consumption of coffee, tension and stress....most 70-year old folks in this type of environment would have a mild heart attack.
He looked like half-dead at Trumps pre-Kim press conference.
Can you believe this respected Economist was in the SDS in his youth??
For the record, I did not write those inappropriate keywords.
They’ve been removed except for “leemartell”. I didn’t write that, either.
More prayers sent.
As a Mended Hearts hospital visitor I council patients to communicate freely with their doctors, take their prescriptions as prescribed, take advantage of rehab facilities, and adjust to heart healthy diet. Any questions or concerns should be written down so you can communicate better with your doctors. Hospital rehab facilities are monitored by nurses and information is passed on to your cardiologist. Get better soon, Larry.
