Trump’s Statesmanship Surprise
American Thinker ^ | June 12, 2018 | David Prentice

Posted on 06/12/2018 6:24:05 AM PDT by mairdie

Nobody knew. None of us saw it. Amongst his biggest supporters, maybe a handful suspected it. Many of us expected the economic renewal of the US to happen. Many of us foresaw a significant roll back of Saint Barrack’s horrid, destructive agenda. A lot of us hoped for a major push back on the left.

All of which we have gotten.

None of us, no one I have read, no one I know, expected Donald Trump to be a giant in foreign policy. No one expected him to reshape the world. Yet Donald Trump, in a short time, is doing so.

That was supposed to be one of the reasons to vote against him. He had no foreign policy experience. He did not understand the world. He was going to lead us into wars. He would be taken advantage of by our enemies. He would ruin our alliances. He would be a rube. A bumpkin. An embarrassment. That was what we were told.

Well. Guess what #nevertrumpers? You were so wrong, desperately wrong. Your shame should be bottomless. Bill Kristol, Max Boot, all of you stand up and please voluntarily go into the stocks and throw rotten veggies at yourselves. You should be ashamed to speak. Yep, the entire left-leaning foreign policy establishment as well. All of you.

I did not expect this, never saw this as one of Trump’s strengths. Nonetheless, we have not seen a better, more fruitful, and more capable foreign policy than this administration since the great Ronald Reagan.

Also love Mr. Trump to bits.

“Nobody knew. None of us saw it.”

That’s because, Prentice, you don’t know anything. You don’t become a multi-billionaire without having skills. And that includes ‘statesmanship’. You and your pals didn’t see it because you’ve done nothing comparable; never experienced leadership responsibilities. These skills just don’t happen “magically” over night.

Not a criticism...just a fact.

I’m skeptical of the agreement but I’m willing to give our
President the benefit of the doubt.

We’re living in a new era and must not be afraid of the past but seize the opportunity of the future.

Just as our President and Kim so courgeously did. Change is hard.

I get a big kick out of all the Democrat rat pols demanding that Trump DEMAND “this” or DEMAND “that” from ‘lil Kim. Or, doing sound bites on the local alphabet TV “news” shows advising Trump on how to handle Kim, or whining about Trump not doing this or that correctly. Because, all of a sudden, THEY’RE the experts...even though they’ve never gotten anywhere close to Kim or this situation.

All we needed was a President who was all-American, we haven’t had that in 30 years.
The last FOUR Presidents have been globalists.
More concerned about subverting American sovereignty than preserving it.

President Trump showed that our foreign policy makers in this country are nothing but con artists. These people have robbed the treasury of trillions of dollars, and cost the lives of tens of thousands of American military personnel. Yet, they sit on their lofty perches at the universities, the think tanks, and in the media enriching their own bank accounts while peddling their books, position papers and op-ed pieces. Today the president proved our foreign policy apparatus is about as useful as a pile of crap! 💩

So much winning, after the elections I hope he focuses on school reform and infrastructure. Failing public schools is a cancer on our nation, Major city (NYC) transportation hums like Penn Station occupied by thugs, mentally ill and beggars and smelling of urine is an embarrassment and typical of Liberal failed “leaders” like Cuomo and DeBlasio

Despite this, if you take a quick tour of media sites, most pronounce the summit a failure—no details, no new agreements, no nothing. ABC is touting their interview with Trump, but that seems the exception.

“Nobody knew. None of us saw it.”

I think the author must have missed the significance of Trump’s war on “political correctness”.

The Left’s Marxist mindset is equally destructive on all fronts; economic prosperity, human rights, religious freedom and world peace. Political Correctness has been the Leftist media’s primary tool of social reprogramming - a way of policing their Leftist group think.

The minute this very early supporter saw candidate Trump challenge “political correctness”, I knew that all things were possible.

I am not surprised in the least by Trump’s foriegn policy success.

I'm not surprised ut I wasn't expecting this either. I wasn't afraid because I knew DJT to be a patriot who would always act in America's best interest and that put him head and shoulders above every president since Reagan.

I'm not surprised. I think Trump is walking genius.

I like to think of President Trump as a sharp NY business man. If you had been in the New York area back in the 80s you would have seen a young millionaire trying to grow his fortune by selling his name brand. For Donald Trump his name and his reputation was everything. He spent years getting himself noticed on NY media and then delivering on what he said.

Think about the press conference tonight. Donald Trump understands everything through a Real Estate prism. He put together promotional material for the development of North Korea and put it into an I-pad presentation. Just as if he were planning a Trump community here in the US and he was looking to sell units to prospective customers. I will paraphrase this badly but President Trump said tonight about North Korea: "... they have some incredible beaches in this country. How about a few luxury hotels for those beaches. I mean you've got prime real estate right in between China and South Korea what could be better? ...". Donald Trump sees North Korea as a Real Estate market being held back by the dumb policies of the local government.

If he could do the deal the way he's used to, he would have this country developed with investors from South Korea, Japan and China and he would walk away with a few luxury hotels and options on other prime real estate in the country and a concession to supply all the local restaurants with food and supplies for the next 20 years. With maybe putting up a couple of million of his own money. Instead as a great American Patriot he will do it for the peace and prosperity of the country.

Lastly I believe it's this Real Estate angle that so many of us become more impressed with President Trump than when we first supported him. Real Estate is a traditional base industry in this country. The founding fathers understood the concepts of Real Estate as they were mostly land holders and dependent on making that land as productive as possible for their livelihoods. When they ran for and then served in office they knew that the productivity of their land may suffer. They were sacrificing to serve our country. Now some 220 odd years later we are seeing what happens when a businessman citizen is willing to sacrifice everything to serve his country. We are glimpsing the way our founding fathers hoped our country would work. President Reagan was cut from a similar mold but even he didn't step down from a successful company to put his entire family and fortune at risk.
