Whatever ones feelings are about the president of the United States, it is undeniable that he has provided a valuable service: He has compelled many noteworthy Americans to dispense with their veneer of compassion and thoughtfulness and instead, expose their angry, petty and disconsolate core.
Sunday night at the Tony Awards in New York, it was Robert De Niro who showed who he really was when he took the stage and declared, Im gonna say one thing: (Expletive) Trump! Its no longer down with Trump, its (expletive) Trump!
He raised his clenched fists in the air and the actors, directors and various other showbiz types in the audience jumped to their feet, giving him a standing ovation.

For progressives in 2018, its Hip Hip Hooray for intolerance and exclusion.
Message to the world:
Stop paying them by going to or watching their horrid little movies. Do something better than always being entertained by the likes of them.
Imbeciles
Maybe Mr. Bob Money can reap everything he sows. ESAD you little BM. So tired of this species of special people.
Like.
With some exceptions, I never considered most actors to be very bright to begin with, and their action confirms the old adage “Birds of a feather flock together”
And...show them up to be the complete assholes they truly are. Go Trump!!
These people are angry, surly and enraged.
What upsets them is the Ameican people elected someone they loathe.
And they’re making their disapproval of it felt.
The only movies we have seen since the Godfather were Atlas Shrugged & Dinesh DeSouzas shows. There may have been one or two others but I can’t recall them. We will not put a nickel in their progg pockets. We don’t even watch them in reruns on TV.
Intolerance? What about hate?
Deniro should have appreciated Trump yesterday. He met with Kim and took one of Deniro’s lines from Godfather 2. He made Kim an offer he couldn’t refuse...
Precisely correct
also, historically important
” I never considered most actors to be very bright to begin with,”
True, they are not very smart. For some reason the public puts these people on a pedestal and just because they are there it is just assumed they are smart. The bigger problem is the actors actually believe it themselves.
I recall the media claimed Sharon Stone was one of the most intelligent actors they had. This could be true, but she could not act.
The danger here is that some like-thinking hater is going to take it seriously and kill those who disagree with his politics. That’s when all bets are off. It will escalate out of control very quickly.who will be safe then? Certainly not the instigators.
It did not take any courage on the part of DeNiro to stand in front of like minded people and feed their hatred of President Trump.
I am not sure anyone in Hollywood is self aware enough to realize they choose poorly when they jumped on the Democrat’s Progressive train. All the good will that Hollywood has built up for a hundred years of providing entertainment is being spent on a dead philosophy, socialism. Not that anyone in Hollywood would want to live in a true socialist state like Venezuela or Cuba, but it makes them feel good to “fight for the little guy” while living in luxury.
The death of newspaper (as inevitable as it was) has been hasten by their choose to go from watch dog to lap dog. Every story they report on has a bias, and many if not most people know that bias. Newspapers are dying because there are not enough kool aid drinkers to keep them alive.
Something similar will happen with the entire entertainment industry. Individuals and Independents can and will create entertainment on the cheap, and from anywhere. The money to Hollywood, their life blood will slow to a trickle. All because they forgot their role in life is to entertain, not indoctrinate.
Goodbye Hollywood, RIP, we will not miss you.
“With some exceptions, I never considered most actors to be very bright to begin with, and their action confirms the old adage Birds of a feather flock together”
They aren’t bright. They remember lines someone else wrote and recite them for money. It’s like the ivy league with liberals. The only difference between a kid there and my kid is their kid can remember the textbook better than my kid. On the other hand, my kid has common sense.
In the USA, we already are: movie box office revenue and TV ratings are both down--sometimes substantially.
But Trump is the one with mental problems
This isn't the first time the The Boston Herald reached into their souls and pulled out an uncomfortable truth... one that gives the appearance they're standing square with powerless deplorable citizens and against the collective power of elites. It's a gutsy stand... admirable and scary.
