Orlando police officers who responded to a domestic dispute Monday were met with gunfire, which seriously wounded an officer and launched a standoff with the gunman, who then barricaded himself in an apartment with four young children.
Shortly before midnight, Orlando police and Orange County deputies announced that the suspect and the children had died.

The suspect accused of shooting an Orlando police officer in the face and holding four children hostage for nearly 24 hours killed the children and then killed himself, police said.
Orlando Police Chief John Mina said they lost communication with Gary Lindsey about 8:30 p.m., but were still trying to end the situation peacefully.
They said Lindsey’s phone had a poor connection, so negotiators tried to get him another phone.
Once they did, SWAT team members were able to see that one of the children was dead.
Mina said the children were shot.
"Our hearts go out to the family of those four children. A long day like this is physically and emotionally draining," Mina said.
The officer who was shot, Kevin Valencia, remains in critical condition but is expected to survive, Mina said.
The identities of the children have not been released.

You have to remember- this is Satan’s realm... for now... He rules this world (within limits of course). Things are GOING TO GET WORSE AND WORSE WHEN WE BEGIN HEADING INTO THE END TIMES- (srry cps lock)- and when the Restrainer is finally removed- things will be so bad that demons will roam in full view of people and noone will think anything of it-The revived Babylon is going to be one heck of a frightful place with all it’s evil.
It’s good of course to hate the evil- but we must realize that God is going to allow it to get much much worse- until Christ comes back again. In the meantime- We need to turn to God and trust Him through the evil that Satan wreaks on this planet- (Think about how evil it was during the times of Rome- Christians were boiled alive, roasted over fires- used as human torches to light the arenas- fed to lions and bears- skewered alive- just all manner of incredibly evil things were done to them, and to the Jews-
Not much comfort I know- but this is Satan’s realm for now- Look forward to the return of Christ-

The events in Singapore must have pushed this incident off the news cycle already. This is the first I’ve heard about it. My sympathies for the families and friends of the children. Nothing could be worse for a parent.

The father was probley a pedophile and murdered his children to cover his crimes. Happens more often then you might think.

People, we have no photos or identity data of the victims, no photos or identity data of any of the mothers/women/wives who are apparently in some way involved with the killer. We don’t even know if race is involved. Other men involved? What kind of lives have the mothers of the victims been leading? We only know the killer was a white male. His is the only photo released to the public. The media has been VERY careful about limiting the information it is giving out, to strictly the criminal history of the murderer. So has local law enforcement. There are large info gaps all over the place on this. There’s more to this—much more—than meets the eye. This is not the way the media typically reports a multiple-victim murder. Why an info blackout if the murderer is already deceased? There should be no investigation or evidence to protect. Or is there?
4 families involved: The shooter, the critically wounded cop, shooters girlfriend and her 2 children, age 10 and 11, and someone else’s children ages 1 and 6. Lots of notifications going on today. Sad.
