You may be right. I wouldn’t argue against it.
I do hope men’s programs survive, but what the heck.
Don’t forget, at the college level there is a ton of money involved.
Cancel those programs, you lose the generated income.
Of course they could license private clubs to replace the institutional programs I guess.

How do kids get scholarships? Are they going to become employees. Does each of them instantly lose amateur standing?
Or maybe the girls will have to race in secret. It will be like smoking weed used to be.
That was their goal all along. Leftists don't want sports for two reasons:
1.) They feel sports robs money from their core goals. The same for the military.
2.) Real sports is merit based. It simply is the antithesis of equality. Because in REALITY, not everyone is equal, and nothing, NOTHING makes that unequivocal statement like sports does. The same goes for the military. In combat, when the only thing that counts in the end, life or death, is how good someone is at fighting, the outcome cannot be jiggered by Leftists.
So...I give the scummy a-holes points for playing the long game. How I despise Leftism.
The private club teams will still need to use fields that are mostly publicly owned (parks, rec centers, school fields, etc.). That will be the point of attack.
No the government won't let that happen. They will mandate that the private clubs follow state law (and they will pass laws). See what happened to men's clubs, as an example!
