After an opening day dominated by trade talk, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will shift the G7 conversation to other pressing global issues on Saturday — climate change and empowering women — but at least one leader has opted to skip part of the day's meetings.
U.S. President Donald Trump will leave La Malbaie, Que., early Saturday before G7 leaders are scheduled to have a working session on protecting the world's oceans and redoubling efforts to stave off catastrophic climate change. He will, however, take part in the gender-focused breakfast session billed by Canadian officials as a chance for leaders to draft "concrete actions for the G7 to advance gender equality and women's empowerment." Trudeau appointed the Gender Equality Advisory Council — co-chaired by Isabelle Hudon, Canada's ambassador to France, and Melinda Gates, co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation — to advise him on recommendations to make at Saturday's meeting with other world leaders.
The council suggested, among other things, funding for "developing and conflict-affected countries" to improve access to a minimum of 12 years of free, safe and quality "gender-responsive education."

Let me see what is the ratio of men to women in American colleges? I think its about 60% women 40% men. So efforts at “equality” and “empowerment” are needed where??? It looks to me that K-12 education in the U.S. has so lifted up women that it has devalued men, making men less prepared than women for college, on average. Time for an adjustment? Yes, but not in ways the elites think.
“Pay gaps” are predominately statistical anomolies having mostly to with differen life and career choices between men and women and NOT because, for the most part, there is a real pay gap when education attainment, excact job, exact responsibilities, exact contiguous length of experience, in exactly the same company are all equal.
Once again Trump flicks dandruff off the Europeans as he snubs their “climate change” hysteria—because he must be in Singapore to negotiate THE NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA!
And this is one reason why they hate him. They talk (and talk, and talk) while President Trump DOES.
It is almost as if they don’t want to solve real problems so the concentrate on things that don’t matter in the long run.

With President Trump, finally the end will come for America’s Taxpayers being the “funders to the world!” Since the end of WWII and most likely earlier, the United States has provided the where with all for the rest of the world to have the prepaid ability to pursue Socialism, with major “emphasis on Western Europe!” When I think about our having troops stationed there and our paying nearly all of the costs of agencies like NATO and the UN, while these useless f*ckers take five weeks vacation from their worthless jobs making $hit to sell to us at inflated prices, and/or with huge protectionist tariffs, I am mortified!

Hmmm- they are having to ‘redouble efforts’ (ie charge people double what they initially said)-
This is how it works- get people to comply,. via law and mandate, then once everyone is on the hook- keep raising prices/fines/taxes and claim you have to ‘redouble efforts’ in order to ‘save the planet’
