The curious case of Imran Awan, which sounds like an international spy thriller, is entering its third act. Awan was a congressional IT aide to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., and he was finally fired just after he was arrested trying to fly to Pakistan last summer.

Awan and his wife, Hina Alvi, were charged last summer with bank fraud. They now appear poised to strike a plea deal with the Department of Justice. A plea agreement hearing is set for July 3 before U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan in Washington, Fox News reported Wednesday.

Thanks for the backstory on the Congressional Spying Scandal. Has it occurred to you that these IT “workers” are agents of a particular foreign government? Reports have said they pass data to intelligence folks in their home country. And that the men are treated like top government officials. If this is correct, do you remember that our former CinC visited that foreign country as a young man escorted by his boyfriend whose family had deep connections there? It has occurred to me every single time I hear about this deep penetration of Congress. Someone gave the foreign agents a pass on background investigations. Someone with enormous influence and power. A parallel is Abedin’s infiltration of Clinton's servers which she vacuumed up and did who knows what with? Whose interests does Abedin serve?

Here on FR, we chronicled and witnessed the CinC of 1990’s allow massive theft of our national defense secrets by a different foreign power. In fact, the dots seemed to connect from his beginnings back home to agents of that government funneling money to his campaigns. Gosh, when I think that Russia had to work so hard to steal secrets prior to then; they'd rush in their navy vessels just to steal a rocket booster after a space launch.

Liz, another thing that has bothered me is that each of the 2 term dem CinCs were recruited in their youth by agents of the Soviet Union. HRC went hardcore left after her internship with the SF attys who represented the Black Panthers. Mooch was recruited directly by VJ whose entire family were card carriers. There is little doubt in my mind that each of these actors are either compromised and controlled and/or willingly participate due to their ideology and their all-consuming lust for power and control over others.

I wish Fox would call a spade a spade and not use these silly, cutesy, and ridiculous descriptions.

Maybe if Justice and the FBI actually charged correctly that would happen, but they didn't. Espionage is not mentioned or accused and no democrat will ever admit they were hacked or did anything wrong.

Been following this for more than a year. The chatter is he’s getting only 6 months on a Navy Base with a golf course, not kidding. If that’s the case, I hope the President has him tied up with additional charges because there is so much more.

It’s possible Imran has blackmail material on members, why he’s getting the soft treatment.

HOW MANY US GOVT CHECKS WERE THE AWANS CASHING? Imran Awan did not live at a rental house he owned, but his tenant confirmed he used the address to receive personal mail at the location....... mail that was often addressed to other names....the names of different aliases he employed.

Still to be ascertained is how many US govt checks the Paki criminal clan were actually cashing at any given time.

ITEM—Imran told people his name was “Alec.”

ITEM—Although he lived elsewhere, Imran used one of his rental houses as a mail drop.

ITEM—A renter of the property said Imran received mail at that address under several different names.

ITEM—Some have observed that “Awan” seems to be a made-up name used frequently as an alias.

NOTE—It is very common among economic refugees, immigrants and illegals to use several identities to ride the US gravy train. It’s a very lucrative endeavor.

3. Were kick-backs to the Democrats included? For doing “dirty work.” Or was the clan blackmailing them?

4. Why did D/W/S threaten the Capitol Police about the laptop confiscated from Imran Awan?

5. Why did D/W/S keep Imran on her payroll after the Capitol Police barred the Paki clan from accessing Congressional computers?

6. Why did Iraqi fugitive and Hizb’allah supporter, Dr. Ali-al Attar, “lend” the Awan’s $100,000?

7. Who is paying Chris Gowen, a bigtime Clinton insider, to represent Imran Awan?
