May 6.... This is June 7th and Nunes had very different response to Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Fox early show. The only one he was on.
He won his primary by 58% btw. His seat is safe, and if we can maintain House dominance... so is his chairmanship. So— maybe he will pursue contempt. However— this may all be a dance that he and Trump have discussed. He was at the WH last Thursday btw- right after the idiotic “meeting” without the subpoenaed documents given to him. DOJ is claiming “classified” as they have often done to protect their incompetence and in this case their corruption by the obamaumao/clinton Alinsky Statists. This is a coup. Conducted by our very own Stasi and “justice” thugs.

Wow. I’ve been quiet on Sessions trying to read the pluses and minuses. if this goes forward then all the folks saying the guy is a deadbeat and should never have recused himself is correct. How deep is the deep state and what the hell does Sessions know and why is he stalling?
So now I read the posts like I should and fiure this is not news at all. Shame on me for not reading all the posts first. Not in the Sessions loop and never checked the date on the article.

But, the last AG held in congressional contempt is still in jail, right?

If either Sessions or Rosenstein is held in contempt of Congress, that is congressional approval for firing them. While it would be helpful if a few Senators spoke up in favor, I think it would be enough for Trump to do just that.

I think you are spot on correct only I would go to what some would call and “extreme” to make a Statement. You might say like that famous movie where the MOB puts the bloody horsehead in bed with the guy they were attempting to IMPRESS.
I wouldn’t do a bloody horsehead but if I were Trump I would make a Personal Mission out of driving the bulldozer that bulldozed headquarters. Generations of Federal Investigations Bureau (FIB) would remember Trump on that bulldozer!
Then have a nationally televised funeral burying the name FBI and changing it to FIB (you know as in lying).
Like you, I agree, that if “nothing” painful is done to the FBI we will be doing this all over again some day but with more pain for all.

No one really seems to be paying attention to Devin Nunes.
The trial balloons never even get to the point of floating before they run out of air. I don’t know how else to explain it, except to assume Nunes does not have much power to force very much direct action, and almost everyone in Washington knows it.
