Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz announced late Thursday his office will release the highly anticipated report about how the FBI handled various aspects of the 2016 presidential election on Thursday, June 14.
The announcement comes after Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley again rescheduled a hearing, originally set for June 5, to go over the long awaited OIG investigation findings.
"Thank you for inviting me to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee on June 18, 2018, about the findings in the Office of the Inspector General's (OIG) forthcoming Review of Allegations Regarding Various Actions by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and the Department of Justice (Department) in advance of the 2016 Election," Horowitz wrote in a letter to Grassley and Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein Thursday afternoon.
"Prior to the June 18 hearing, the OIG intends to release our report publicly and to provide the report's classified appendix to our oversight committees," the letter continues. "We anticipate releasing the report on June 14, 2018."
Horowitz will testify under oath in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee. The hearing is titled, "Examining the Inspector Generals First Report on Justice Department and FBI Actions in Advance of the 2016 Presidential Election." The report is expected to span nearly 500-pages.
Grassley has also requested other witnesses testify about the OIG findings, including former Deputy FBI Andrew McCabe. McCabe has reportedly been in talks with the Committee about receiving immunity in exchange for his testimony. He was fired earlier this year by Attorney General Jeff Sessions for lying multiple times to federal investigators, including agents working for the FBI and OIG.
After he's done with the Senate, Horowitz will sit in front of the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees for questions about the findings in the OIG report.
Release the UNREDACTED report, nothing less.
We will be disappointed.
It will be redacted so the public will discover nothing new.
You are on edge tonight. And no one even mentioned u know who
before u jumped in.
The moment is near. We have been told to wait until this IG report
came out and numerous indictments would be forthcoming.
We shall soon see how many criminal referrals are made.
We shall see indeed.
It will go something like this, after an exhaustive investigation, involving thousands of hours, hundreds of interviews, all conducted with the greatest of concern and professionalism, I have found that even though some mistakes were made it was without criminal intent or malice. Therefore, this investigation is over.
Will this be the most major Kabuki in the history of Kabuki...or not???
Probably. Trump should order Sessions to release it without redactions. This is all so disgusting and frustrating and maddening.
Another delay. Someone ran out of black markers.
NOTHING is going to change...~~
Obama nor the Clinton's will go to jail....
Struok and Page won't go to jail....Neither will McGabe and Comey..let alone Berrnnar..and Mueller.. ..
NONE of these guy's are doing hard time.
None!!
It depends on if any criminal referrals are made.
It depends on if any criminal referrals are made.
><
Excellent point. We’ll see.
The definition of ‘kabuki,’ has changed.
The new definition is, ‘the wholesale lies Trump tells whenever he pretends to criticize or express disappointment in Sessions.’
The Kitty Genovese story has been debunked.

.....and if my Aunt had cojonies, she’d be my Uncle.
The Swamp refuses to be drained.
Yes, it is frustrating, especially because now that patriots have come forward to express their desire to restore their gov’t, neither side will willingly step down....and we all know where that will lead.
If we keep the House and Senate, things will chug along but if they win, they’ll show no mercy on us.
It is curious why we arent seeing any evidence of referrals or indictments now. He is the IG for the DOJ. He has turned his report to the AG. Congress doing oversight is not a stepping stone but a parallel overview. What action has Huber begun?????????
Not really. All they really substantiated was that some people may have called police and the info was not correctly reported. There was no 911 at the time, so no records.
I see your points. The DOJ must have this buttoned down tightly or some of it would have leaked. IMO
I have no idea about Huber. Hopefully he’s doing good things quietly.
