Does the baker get all his legal fees back?

At best, this case can be used as legal precedent and support for upcoming religious liberty and speech rights cases, as the narrow Hobby Lobby case did.
The left isn’t done attacking.

Maybe the circumstances under which religious liberty can be Constitutionally claimed, is “narrow”
Not the vote
To: hercuroc
Great!
I guess anything less than a unanimous decision is considered a narrow one.

Sotomayor and Ginsburg are the two who opposed this ruling.
To: hercuroc
I knew it was 7/2 before coming here.
When I saw narrow i knew it was from CNN or an NBC and yup
Best analogy is the SCOTUS gave the baker a reprieve from the death penalty based on improper procedures. It did not say the death penalty is unconstitutional.

Would be interesting to see how this ruling applies to the Oregon case,”Sweet Cakes by Melissa”.

Then in that case, the issues involved will be argued on other cases in the future. So then, this is not going to set a solid legal precedent.
To: hercuroc
It's legally "narrow": the majority opinion didn't lay out any broader doctrine or test of the 1st Amendment's free exercise clause.
It only said that in this instance, the consideration of the case by the Colorado government was improperly tainted by anti-religious bias.
