The U.S. official did not identify the three military officials. Yonhap identified them as defense chief Pak Yong-sik; Ri Myong-su, chief of the Korean People's Army's (KPA) general staff; and Kim Jong-gak, director of the KPA's General Political Bureau.
Trump wants North Korea to "denuclearize," meaning to get rid of its nuclear arsenal, in return for relief from economic sanctions. North Korea's leadership is believed to regard nuclear weapons as crucial to its survival.
Citing an unnamed intelligence official, Yonhap said No Kwang-chol, first vice minister of the Ministry of People's Armed Forces, had replaced Pak Yong-sik as defense chief, while Ri Myong-su was replaced by his deputy, Ri Yong-gil.
It said Army General Kim Su-gil's replacement of Kim Jong-gak as director of the KPA's General Political Bureau was confirmed in a North Korean state media report last month.

Headline: Kim PURGES North Korean officials ahead of tense Trump summit

And ...
“Army General Kim Su Gil’s replacement of Kim Jong Gak as director of the KPA’s General Political Bureau was confirmed in a North Korean state media report last month when Kim Su Gil accompanied North Korea’s Kim Jong Un on a field guidance trip to A BEACH TOURIST ZONE with other officials.” — Reuters (06/03/18)
And ...
“According to a defector to South Korea who once served North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party of Korea, this different and rarely seen side of Kim Jong Un featured in a documentary to educate party officials who lead the lowest rungs of the leadership apparatus or state-run enterprises.
“The video shows Kim Jong Un standing on AN UNSPECIFIED STRETCH OF COASTLINE gazing toward the horizon as tears trickle down his cheek. (Emphasis mine)
“A narrator explains that the North Korean leader is distraught over his inability to radically overhaul the economy to make the reclusive country a vibrant power.
“The defector learned about the video from a contact who remains in North Korea.” — Asahi Shimbun (05/30/18)
And just where might that unspecified stretch of coastline be? Just a guess:
“In the SEASIDE CITY OF WONSAN, North Korean families cook up barbecues on the beach, go fishing, and eat royal jelly flavor ice cream in the summer breeze. For their leader Kim Jong Un, the resort is a summer retreat, a future temple to tourism, and a good place to test missiles.” — Reuters (10/10/17)
A narrator explains that the North Korean leader is distraught over his inability to radically overhaul the economy to make the reclusive country a vibrant power.
You can’t sit on that much in rare earth metals and not want to be compensated. Yet that is what China, also rich in rare earth metals, has done to the Norks. Flipping nukes to the Iranians and the Pakis is chump change compared to what the global tech manufacturing industry would give the Norks for access to non-China controlled rare earth metals.
> there will be no coop.
No doubt told to him by a Navy “Corpseman”
It would be great if we can end all hostilities with North Korea and pull them away from China. The North Koreans aren’t any worse than the Nazis or Japanese were in WW2 and we allowed a lot of them to go unpunished because we either needed them to help stabilize the countries after the war, or needed their expertise in certain fields. It’s not like we can’t work with people who have blood on their hands in certain situations. If North Korea agrees to denuclearization and ends all aggressive behavior towards us, then we should give them security assurances and work toward pulling them away from China.
We use to give generous trade deals to countries when we needed them to see growth for national security reasons. I think that's fine when it's temporary as long as it won't have a significant detrimental affect on U.S. jobs. The problem is we never change these agreements to make them more fair after these countries have achieved adequate growth and their importance to our national security has declined. I think there's a lot of republican involvement in the Russian scandal because they wanted to stop Trump when came to trade.
Makes perfect sense if Kim wants to survive and not have the “old school” Norks destroy what’s left of the country before civilization has a chance to set in...
How were they executed? Thrown into a vat of piranas?
Head cleaning....
